Maybe yu take vitamins regularly supprting brainpwer, r stck up n these fds that bst brain health. But new guidelines frm the American Academy f Neurlgy (AAN) suggest there’s smething better yu can d t keep yur mind sharp.
A quarter f adults aged 80 t 84 experience mild cgnitive (认知的) impairment, accrding t AAN. T address the widespread prblem, a grup f neurlgists and Alzheimer’s (阿尔茨海默症) specialists went thrugh existing studies t define the best ways t prevent and treat cgnitive decline—and yu might be surprised by what they included and what they didn’t.
Surprisingly, the AAN guidelines dn’t include any medicatin(药物) r dietary recmmendatins. The authrs stress that there haven’t been any high quality, lng term studies finding fds r medicatin can help cgnitive decline. The guidelines als say dctrs can cnsider suggesting cgnitive training t patients with memry lss but nt rely n it. At the present time, the reprt’s authrs say the evidence is t incnclusive t say fr sure if brain exercises, like memry and attentin training r prblem slving fr everyday issues assciated with memry lss, are beneficial. Still, these mrning brain exercises can’t d any harm.
But there was ne big discvery frm the new guidelines: Exercising just twice a week culd imprve cgnitive decline. One study shwed adults with mild cgnitive impairment wh did resistance training twice a week scred better n executive functin and assciative memry tests than a grup that wrked n balancing, stretching, and relaxing.
What’s mre, anther study had lder adults attend either biweekly health classes r sessins f aerbics, strength training, balance exercises, and multitasking training. Six mnths later, the nes wh’d exercised regularly scred better n cgnitive health and memry tests, and had less brain shrinkage.
AAN nw recmmends dctrs tell patients with memry lss t exercise twice a week t keep their minds sharp. This is the best time t exercise if yu want t imprve yur memry. It lks like yu’ve gt just ne mre reasn t clear time in yur schedule fr a wrkut —even if it’s nly n the weekends.

The wrld f wrk is changing. Are peple ready fr the new jb utlk? A survey f 15- year-lds acrss 41 cuntries by the OECD(经合组织) has fund that teenagers may have unrealistic expectatins abut the kind f wrk that will be available.
Fur f the five mst ppular chices are traditinal prfessinal rles: dctrs, teachers, business managers and lawyers. Teenagers cluster arund the mst ppular jbs, with the tp ten being chsen by 47% f bys and 53% f girls.
This selectin is partly due t wishful thinking n the part f thse surveyed. Furthermre, teenagers can hardly be expected t have an in-depth knwledge f labur-market trends. They encunter dctrs and teachers in their daily lives. Other ppular prfessins, such as lawyers and plice fficers, are familiar frm films and scial media.
Sme parts f the OECD survey are disturbing. Mre bys than girls expect t wrk in science r engineering. The prblem cntinues in higher educatin; with the exceptin f bilgical and bimedical sciences, degrees in STEM Subjects (science, technlgy, engineering and maths ) are male-dminated. In America wmen earn just 35. 5% f undergraduate STEM degrees and 33. 7% f PhDs. Things are even wrse in technlgy. In Britain nly ne in five cmputer-science university students is a wman. Wmen are underrepresented in sme imprtant fields f technlgy; they have nly 12% f jbs in clud cmputing, fr example.
Wmen play a much bigger rle in the health- and scial-care sectrs. The prblem is that sme f these jbs are nt very well paid. Hme-health and persnal-care aides had median annual salaries in 2018 f just ver 24,000. Sme jbs in health care are extremely prfitable, f curse. But anther gender imbalance emerges here: wmen make up nly ne-third f American health-care executives. In cntrast, they tend t dminate the prly paid scial care wrkfrce.
The biggest prblem in the labur market, then, may nt be that teenagers are fcusing n a few well-knwn jbs. It culd be a mismatch: nt enugh talented wmen mve int technlgy and nt enugh men take jbs in scial care. Any ecnmist will recgnise this as an inefficient use f resurces. Wherever the rt f the prblem lies---be it the educatin system, gvernment plicy r crprate recruiting practices---it needs t be identified and fixed.
12.Many teenagers wuld like t chse sme traditinal jbs because_______.
A.they are ready fr these jbs
B.these jbs are better knwn t them
C.these jbs live up t their expectatins
D.they think these jbs are available t them
    13.Where d mst wmen wrk?
    A.In engineering
    B.In technlgy.
    C.In health care.
    D.In business.
14.What wuld-the authr mst prbably agree with?
A.The mismatch f resurces requires imprving.
B.Nt enugh men and wmen take jbs in sciety.
C.Teenagers have unrealistic expectatins abut jbs.
D.It's the educatin system that causes the prblem in the labur market.
15.In which sectin f a magazine may this text appear ?
    A.Entertainment.B.Educatin.
    C.Science.D.Career.

The wrld f wrk is changing. Are peple ready fr the new jb utlk? A survey f 15- year-lds acrss 41 cuntries by the OECD(经合组织) has fund that teenagers may have unrealistic expectatins abut the kind f wrk that will be available. Wherever the rt f the prblem lies---be it the educatin system, gvernment plicy r crprate recruiting practices---it needs t be identified and fixed.“无论问题的根源在哪里——无论是教育体系、政府政策还是企业招聘实践——都需要找到并解决。”

分析可知,“while”表达并列对比关系,因此所填“turned___3___”应与前文“Grups f wild ____2____ (gse) have been wandering freely n the streets f Oakland, Califrnia”提及“wandering”相呼应,应是“turn up”,意为“出现”。故填up。
故填which。
分析可知,“‘This is the habitat they nce had and that we’ve taken away frm them,’ ___5___ (say) Marcel Giagnni, the head f Chile’s agricultural service.” 故填said。
分析可知,“With the hunting seasn ___6___ (withdraw) in several Eurpean cuntries”为with复合结构作伴随状语,即“with sth/sb+ding/dne…”,逻辑主语“the hunting seasn”与动词“withdraw(撤退)”之间为主动关系,应是现在分词形式。故填withdrawing。
分析可知,“as well as”表达并列关系,由此可知,“___8___ t help endangered species”应是与前文“Wrk t limit aggressive species”为并列关系,空8指代前文“wrk”,可用指示代词that代替。故填that。

interesting是元音音素开头,前面的不定冠词用an,故将a改为an。
由“we culdn’t make any f the patterns at all”可知,前后句是转折关系,应用表转折的hwever,故将therefre改为hwever。
由“being dne by a single grup”是动名词短语可知,句中应用instead f,故在instead后加f。
分析可知,“nly cperatin can make things succeed”是宾语从句,从句中不缺主语或宾语,且句子意思完整,因此应用that引导宾语从句,故将what改为that。
52.The advantages and disadvantages f nline educatin
