Key sentences:a. It is important to know how to ask for help politely.b. I wonder if you can help me. c. I'm sorry to trouble you, but. d. It might seem more difficult to speak politely than directly.3. Review the conversation we learned in last lesson.2. Ask Ss to make conversations using the polite question.对上节课所学的句型进行复习,主要对委婉语气和宾语从句进行练习,为本课学习做准备。Step 2Lead-in(PPT 6)Work on 2a.1.Ask Ss to have a discussion about how to make polite requests. Where do you need to make polite requests? Think of some possible situations. Discuss them with your partner. 2. Read the article and underline the topic sentence for each paragraph. 2. Ask Ss to read the language points so that they can understand the language points deeply. 2. Explain the usage of polite, correct, request, lead in to, on time, look forward to, reply, etc.阅读这些语言点使学生加深对这些单词、短语以及句型的理解。Step 6Practice(PPT 39-44)Work on 2c. 1. Ask Ss to find all the direct questions and polite requests from the passage, then fill in the chart in 2c.2. Make requests in different situations in the pictures. They can use the direct questions and polite requests.Work on 2d. Ask Ss to read the requests in 2d to know what to do. In the second column, write A if you would say it to someone you know and B if you would say it to a stranger. In the last column, write where you think these people are.
