4. Language points

1)I ride it to school every day.

every 意为“每一”。

every day是副词词组，在句中作状语，表示“每天、天天”。

everyday“日常的、每日的”，是形容词，在句中只作定语。

例如： 我们每天讲英语。 ______________________________

我们学一些日常英语吧。　______________________________

2)    .I'm not sure ... about 10 kilometers?

形容词sure: “肯定的；确定的”，其疑问形式和肯定形式在口语中也十分常用。表示自己对某事很肯定时用I'm sure…,表示自己对某事没有十足的把握时,则用I'm not sure.。

例如： 你确定吗?______________________________

我(十分)肯定。______________________________

我不很肯定。(我不大有把握。)______________________________

He is sure to come.____________________

3)The bus ride takes about 20 minutes.

How long does it take you to get to school?

动词take用法小结:

表示“乘、坐”某一交通工具。常用结构：take a/the+交通工具

表示“花费时间”之意。常用结构： It takes sb. some time to do sth. ”，意为“某人花多少时间做某事”，注意后面动词前的 to 不可丢掉。

例如： 晚上我要花半小时做作业。______________________________

她每天步行去上学要花二十分钟的时间。 ______________________________

4)Well, have a good day at school.

have a good day意为“度过愉快的一天”。

 have a good day =have a good time

=enjoy oneself (enjoy myself , enjoy yourself enjoy themselves…)=have fun (doing sth)

注意：

当别人跟你说have a good day ,你可以回答“Thank you” 也可以回答“You, too”

探究一、 how引导的特殊疑问句

how是疑问副词，“如何；怎样”，常位于句首，引导特殊疑问句。其结构为：

How + 助动词/情态动词+主语+谓语+其他?

How + be动词+主语+其他?

how引导的特殊疑问句的常见用法如下:

➊询问交通方式

—How does your father go to work? 你爸爸怎样去上班？

—He goes to work by bus. 他乘公共汽车上班。

❷询问身体状况

—How are your grandparents? 你的爷爷奶奶身体怎么样？

—They are fine. Thanks.  他们很好。谢谢。

❸询问程度、看法

—How do you like the music?你觉得这音乐怎么样？

— It sounds great. 它听起来很棒。

❹询问天气

— How's the weather in Beijing? 北京的天气怎么样？

— It's sunny and warm. 晴朗温暖。

❺询问事情进展

—How is it going?事情进展如何?

—Everything goes well. 一切顺利。

探究二、 how long/how far引导的特殊疑问句

How long引导的特殊疑问句

➊用于询问时间的长短，意为“多长时间”。回答时常用表示一段时间的词或短语。

— How long does it take you to get to the zoo? 你到动物园要花多长时间？

— About half an hour by bus. 乘公共汽车大约半小时。

❷用于询问物体的长短，意为“多长”。回答时常用表示长度的词或短语。

— How long is the rope? 这条绳子多长？

— It’s about ten meters. 大约10米。

how far引导的特殊疑问句

how far 用来提问距离，意为“多远”。

其答语分为两种情况：

(1)用长度单位表示

eg: —How far is it from your home to the bus stop？

从你家到公共汽车停靠站有多远？

—It's two kilometers. 两公里远。

(2)用时间表示

eg: —How far is the park from the supermarket?

从超市到公园有多远？

—It's 5 minutes' walk. 步行5分钟的路程。

注意：在回答how far 的提问时，通常有两种情形：

①有具体的数字时，可与away from 连用，表示具体距离的计量，口语中away可省略。

②没有具体数字时，应用far或near作答。

    如：—How far is your home from your school？

           你家离学校有多远？

           —It's twenty kilometers (away) from my school./

           —It's very far.我家离学校有20公里(远)。/我家离学校很远。
