Unit 9 I like music that I can dance toPeriod 3 Section A Grammar focus-4c教学设计 一. 教材分析本节课是人教版新目标Go for it 九年级unit 9 I like music that I can dance to第三课时--Section A,Grammar focus- 4a,这部分属于语法部分,主要讲授定语从句的内容,让学生掌握that、 which和who引导的定语从句的用法,培养学生应用英语的能力。定语从句是英语教学中的重点难点,掌握它的使用对学生有非常的重要的意义。 二. 学情分析我所教的班级是内初班的普通班,大多数学生从初中以后开始接触英语,学生基础薄弱,水平不一,因此教学中要考虑分层教学,在教学过程中设计小组合作,尽量让所有学生都参与到活动中来,同时,大部分学生对待语法的热情都不高,要精心设计,充分调动他们的积极性。 三. 教学目标:掌握that,who和which引导的定语从句的基本用法。学会用that,who和which引导的定语从句表达喜恶。 四. 教学重难点:理解和运用that which和who引导的定语从句。 五.教学方法 任务型教学法 六.教学过程Step 1. Lead inShow the following sentences:1.Tom is a handsome boy.2.His name is Tom.3.The two boys are students.4.The smiling boy needs a pen.5.The boy to write this letter needs a pen.6.The girl behind the tree is Kate.7.The girl who is behind the tree is Kate. 设计意图: 新课程倡导学生为主体参加教学活动,通过让学生读这几个句子,复习定语的功能、位置,从而导入新课——定语从句。 Step 2. Presentation分析下列句子: Mary is a girl who has long hair. 先行词 关系词 定语从句归纳概念: 被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词,定语从句一般放在先行词后面,连接主句和从句的词叫做关系词。设计意图:通过分析句子成分,让学生了解什么是定语从句,什么是先行词,什么是关系词。 Task 2:.Pair work 观察下列句子并划出从句定语从句、先行词和关系词。①The girl who/that has big smile is my sister.②I like the boy (who/that) I met at the party. ③Mary likes music which/that is quiet and gentle.④This is the house (which/that) we lived in last year. 归纳用法1.由句①②看出,who/that定语从句,先行词是人,由句③④看出,which/that定语从句,先行词是物。2.由句①③ 可知,who,that,which在定语从句中可以做主语,由句 ② ④可知,who,that,which在定语从句中可以做宾语,作宾语时可省略。关系词的作用:连接主从句,替代先行词,在从句中充当成分。 设计意图:通过小组合作,观察、分析、共同探讨,循序渐进,发现规律,总结定语从句的基本用法,达到语言目标输入的目的。Step 3. A. whose B. who C. which总结:选用关系词口诀:前看先行词,辩清人和物;后看从句里,有无主宾语。设计意图:通过这几道选择题的练习,让学生学会通过先行词确定关系词,并战计口诀。 2. 4aGet the students to choose words from the different columns in 4a to make sentences individually. Then ask several students to show their sentences. 设计意图:让学生通过选择不同的单词完成句子来表达自己的喜好,通过选择词语造句,既降低了难度,又起到了运用定语从句的目的,进一步做好语言目标输入。3.4bRead Jennifer’s CD review in 4b.Then complete the sentences using that, which and who. 1).It’s the kind of music that/which you can dance to.
2).It’s a CD that/which you can take to a party.
3).She likes musicians who write their own lyrics.
4).She doesn’t like the songs that/which are too long。
5).She likes singers who sing the words clearly.设计意图:让学生通过阅读,快速找到相关细节,确定答案,并根据答案将文章中的句子转化为定语从句的练习,将阅读与语法练习的内容相结合,内化目标语言知识,让学生能够实际运用,进一步巩固定语从句。 Step 4.Role playGet students to make conversations about the king of things you like and dislike in pairs.Eg.A: what kind of …do you enjoy?B: I enjoy …that is/are…Ask some pairs to present their conversations to the whole class.设计意图:通过两人一小组合作编造对话、表演对话,让所有学生都参与进来,将本单元、本节课所学的重点句型及定语从句大量操练,复习巩固,让学生充分掌握。 Step 5. Homework Read a short passage about their favorite things using attributive clauses. 设计意图:通过写短文的作业,让学生能够综合运用本节课所学的定语从句的内容,能够更好地输出语言目标。
