    本单元是人教版八年级上册第四单元的教学内容。主要话题是学习比较级的运用,这个话题对于学生的想象力和改进学生的学习能力是有很多帮助的。本单元以选择电影院的话题为引导,讨论城镇内配套设施的比较,熟练使用句型:It has the best screens.Yu can buy tickets the mst quickly there. 同时以同学熟悉感兴趣的时尚节目中国达人秀为话题,用最高级谈论最有才艺的人,熟练使用句型:He is the mst talented singer 等,话题内容可以拓展至中国最佳城市的话题,拓展学生的思路。本节是一节听说课。以电影院为话题呈现描述电影院特点、品质的词汇,问题 Hw d yu chse which mvie theater t g t ? 引导学生对电影院场所、硬件设施等条件进行分析比较,单元语法重点项目形容词和副词的比较级也在语境中自然呈现。
    学情分析
    学校和家庭不鼓励学生外出看电影,并且随着网络的普及越来越多的人选择从网络上观看影片,因此会有很多学生对于本地区的电影院并不是很了解。因此,为了推动话题的顺利进行,教师需要事先准备好本地区电影院的第一手资料,让学生有了真是比较之后再进行语言的输出。

    Step 1.Warm up
    Greet the class and intrduce what t learn in this perid.
    Step 2.Presentatin
    Intrduce and new wrds learning
    First, tell students we’re ging t learn hw t discuss preferences and make cmparisn in this unit and learn t describe things using the superlatives with -est, mst.
    Then shw the new wrds and expressins n the screen,lead students t read them.
    Later, shw the new cards, invite sme students t read them, crrect prnunciatin mistakes if any.
    Teach Activity 1a
    Read the instructins.Then read each item t the class. Ask the students t explain what the wrds r phrases mean in their wn wrds.Fr example, fr cmfrtable seats, a student might say, ”Cmfrtable seats feel gd. Yu can sit in a cmfrtable seat fr three hurs and feel gd”.
    Ask students t describe which f the things are imprtant and which are nt imprtant .Pint t the tw clumns and ask students t write their answers there. Find ut which items students think are the mst imprtant. Ask different students t write each wrds r phrase n the blackbard. Then read each item t the class and say, ”Raise yur hand if yu give this a number 1 r number 2.” Write the number f students wh raise their hand after each. In the end, help students say which are the mst imprtant t students in the class.
    3. Teach Activity 1b.
    This activity gives students practice in understanding the target language by spken cnversatin.
    . Read the instructin
    Pint ut the phrases under the wrd qualities and ask different students t read the phrases t the class. Explain the meaning f any phrases students dn;t understand.
    Pint t the list f mvie theaters in the instructins. Ask students what they are ding.(They are talking abut these three mvie theaters.)
    Pint t the blank lines under the Mvie theaters. Ask students t write the names f different mvie theater there.
    . Play the recrding a secnd time .Have students write the names f each mvie theater n the blank line after its descriptin. Then crrect the answers.
    Teach Activity 1c.
    . Read the instructin.Pint ut the sample cnversatin in the bx. Ask tw students t read it t the class.
    Lead students t make a list f real mvie theaters they knw. If there aren’t three r mre mvie theaters fr the students t talk abut, use three stres r three restaurants. Say, nw wrk with a partner. Start by reading the cnversatin in the bx with yur partner.Then lk at the ther places n the blackbard and make cnversatins abut these places. As they talk, mve arund the rm checking their wrk. Offer language supprt as needed.
    Ask several pairs f students t present their cnversatins t the class.
    Step 3. Practice
    Teach Activity 2a.
    This activity prvides listening practice using the target language.
    . Read the instructins and pint t the tw questins n the survey. Read the names f the stres and radi statins r ask different students t d it.
    Say, There is a reprter talking with a teenage by.She is asking him sme questins. Listen t the recrding and circle the by’s answers.
    Play the recrding twice.Students just listen at the first time.
    Ask students t circle the letters f the crrect answers at the secnd time.
    Then check the answers.
    Teach Activity 2c
    This activity prvide guided ral practice using the target language.
    Pint t the sample cnversatin.Ask tw students t read it t the class.
    Then fcus n sme language pints and explain them.
    . Can I ask yu sme questins ? Can I --- ?此句型常用来向别人询问问,征求许可。也可以用Culd I---?/May I ---?来替换。应答时用Yes,sure. / Certainly. /OK. 如:Can I cme ? 一般情况下,表示“一些”时,在肯定句中用sme, 而不用any. 如:Can I have sme water, please ?
    . I think Miller’s is the best. 此句为复合句,其中的I think, think为及物动词,其后常加一个句子,该句叫做宾语从句。 I think后的这个句子可以用任何时态。如: I think Tm was at ffice yesterday.. I think he is ging t visit us. 当主句的主语是第一人称时, I think --- 宾语从句的否定句nt需前移。如:I dn’t think yu’re right. 而不能说成I think yu aren’t right.

Ask students t say sme f the questins the reprter asked the by.If students need mre help asking the questins,write the questins n the bard.Fr example.What’s the best clthing stre in twn ? What d yu think abut the ther stres ?What’s the best mvie theater ?What’ abut the radi statin ?
    Ask students t wrk in pairs.Mve arund checking the prgress and ffering help as needed.
    Ask ne r tw pairs t shw their cnversatins t the class.
    Step 4: Cnslidatin
    Teach Activity 2d
    First give students several minutes t read the cnversatin and get the main idea f it.
    After that, invite sme students t answer questins.

    S1: Greg is new in twn.Helen is intrducing the twn fr her.
    T:Hw des Greg like the twn ?
    S2: He think it fantastic, but he still desn’t knw the way arund.
    T: Where is the best supermarket ?
    S3: It’s n Center Street.

    T: Which is the newest cinema ?
    S5: It’s Sun Cinema.

    S6: Because students t read the cnversatin sentence by sentence.Call attentin t the prnunciatin and tne.
    Ask students t practice reading this cnversatin after class,and try t make a new cnversatin abut their neighbrhd.

    In this class, we learned sme new wrds and expressins first, then we learned hw t talk abut ur neighbrhd using superlative degree f adjectives.Thrugh the listening and speaking practice,we cnslidated the target language.
