Step1.Greetings
Greeting the whole class as usual.
Step2.Lead-in and warming up(导入)
Teaching purpose: Lead-in and warming up
T:What do you do on weekend?
S:I ......
T:What did you do last weekend?
S:I did/went.....
Point to the previous Saturday and Sunday on a wall calendar, let the students to tell some things they did last weekend.
Step3. Presentation (知识讲解)
Teaching purpose: ask students to finish the required task and learn some key phrases.
1. Ask: Do you like weekends? And what do you usually do on weekends?
Students: I usually watch TV.(give some pictures to help them)
2. Show some pictures, and the students ask and answer in pairs.
What do you usually do on weekends?
3. Last weekends, I cleaned my room.
Explain “last weekends” is a past time, so you must use past tense. So I add ‘ed’ .
What about you? What did you do last weekend?(write on the blackboard) did----do
Show pictures and the verbs are past tense.
First only say the phrases. Like ‘did the homework’, and pay attention to the past tense.
Step4. (课堂练习)
Teaching purpose: ask students to finish the required task and learn some key phrases.

3. went boating __
4. camped by the lake __
5. went to the beach __
6. played badminton __
This activity introduces the key vocabulary.
1. Focus attention on the picture. Ask students to tell what they see. Name each activity and ask students to repeat: did my homework, went to the cinema, went boating, camped by the lake, went to the beach, played badminton.
2. Point out the numbered list of activities. Say each one again and ask students to repeat.
3. Then ask students to match each activity with one of the pictures. Say, Write the letter of each activity next to the words. Point out the sample answer.
4. Check the answers.
This activity gives students practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.

IX. Summary(小结)
动词一般过去时,表示过去发生的事。
be用was 或用were; have, has 变had。
谓语动词过去式,过去时间作标志。
一般动词加-ed,若是特殊得注意。
否定句很简单,主语之后didn’t 添。
疑问句也不难,did 放在主语前。
若是谓语之前有did,谓语动词需还原。
动词若是was, were, 否定就把not 添。
