On Dec. 9, 2021, three Chinese astrnauts gave a science lecture 400 kilmeters abve Earth. Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu, wh are wrking abard the Tiangng space statin, shwed millins f students their life there. They als did sme fun science experiments. Let’s take a lk at sme f them.
    Use it r lse it
The human bdy grws with the pull f Earth’s gravity(重力). But in space, ur bnes and muscles(肌肉) dn’t need t sustain ur bdy’s weight. This will cause bne and muscle lss. NASA says that astrnauts can lse up t 20 percent f their muscles after just a cuple f weeks. That is dangerus because they will be t weak t wrk.
Astrnauts have different ways t prevent this. During the lecture, Zhai intrduced a special unifrm Ye was wearing. It’s called a “penguin suit”. There are many elastic bands(弹力带) inside the suit. Wearing it, astrnauts use their muscles t stretch(拉紧) the bands. This keeps their muscles strng.

During anther experiment, Wang made a water film(膜). Then she added mre water which drps nt the film t make it a water ball. This can never happen n Earth. Why?
We need t first understand the surface tensin(表面张力) f water. It is like a “skin” f water. The “skin” is there because water mlecules(分子) are drawn t each ther. Mst f the time, gravity is t strng and it breaks the “skin”. But with zer gravity in space, the “skin” stays strng and the water ball will nt break.
Water in space acts differently frm water n Earth in ther ways. Fr example, water will nt flw dwnward if yu try t pur it int a cup. That’s why astrnauts usually drink water thrugh straws(吸管) in clsed bags.
4.What can we learn abut the lecture frm space?
A.It is a part f the astrnauts’ daily wrk.
B.It tk place 4,000 kilmeters abve Earth.
C.It tk place in the Tiangng space statin.
D.It is ne f the astrnauts’ ways t ask fr help.
5.What des the underlined wrd “they” in the passage refer t?
    A.bdiesB.musclesC.stnesD.astrnauts
6.Which f the fllwing is the best t fill in “ ▲ ” in the passage?
A.Space water is differentB.Space water is valuable
C.Space water is imprtantD.Space water is cmmn
7.What’s the writer’s purpse in this passage?
    A.T ask students t d mre science experiments(实验).
B.T explain the imprtance f the space experience.
    C.T raise peple’s interest in space explratin(勘探).
D.T intrduce the space lecture given by Chinese astrnauts.

After having safe flights fr 1,600 hurs ver nine years, Wang was a strng candidate t becme an astrnaut in 2010. She pushed herself hard, getting the same training as men. “The space envirnment wn’t change because yu are a wman,” she tld Xinbua.
The hardest part is the high-G training. Sitting in a spinning (旋转的) machine, Wang wuld becme blind fr a while because her brain was shrt f bld. “There’s a red buttn (按钮), said Wang.” If yu can’t bear it, yu can press it t stp.” But Wang never used it. “There is n such red buttn in my heart.” That strng spirit finally made her dream cme true in 2013. She jined the team fr the Shenzhu X missin.
Wang said that as astrnauts, wmen have their wn advantages (优势). “Wmen may be mre patient and can better deal with lneliness. Wmen’s hearts are als easier t adapt (适应) t the weightless envirnment, making them mre suitable fr lng-term missins.”

Astrnaut Sct Kelly has been living n the Internatinal Space Statin(ISS)since March 28,2015.And just like any ther hme, the ISS requires sme husekeeping, in the frm f regular wrk and repairs.
That is why Kelly and his partner Kjell Lindgren perfrmed activities, utside the statin n Wednesday. The peratin began at 8:03 am and lasted fr mre than seven hurs. It was the first spacewalk fr bth men.
The ISS has been in cntinual use fr 15 years, and has hsted ver 200 peple. including astrnauts and private turists. During their activities, Kelly and Lindgren did basic electrical wrk, such as attaching new wires that will prvide pwer t dcking prts(接轨舱门)n the statin. The prts will be used when ther peple arrive at the ISS in2017. Als, the tw astrnauts fixed a thermal(热的)cver n a key scientific instrument n the statin t prtect it frm the freezing temperatures f space.
As the mre senir astrnaut, Kelly led the spacewalk. Hwever, Lindgren dealt with sme f the mre challenging parts f the jb as he has lnger arms than Kelly.
