Have yu ever had t enter a parent's e-mail address when signing up fr a website? That safety measure is there because f the Children's Online Privacy Prtectin Act (COPPA). This July, the Federal Trade Cmmissin (FTC) will update COPPA fr the first time since the law was created in 1998 when there were n smart phnes. The nature f the way kids get nline has changed, FTC lawyer Phyllis Marcus said.
