    Thugh he kept thrwing up his arms in despair, he 54accepted the £ 5 I gave him. I felt especially
    pleased with my wnderful 55--- until I gt back t the ship. N matter hw hard I tried, it was
    impssible t fill this beautiful pen with ink!

    Early experts in psychlgy paid n attentin t the imprtance f daydreams r even cnsidered them harmful. At ne time daydreaming was thught t be a cause f sme mental illnesses. They did nt have a better understanding f daydreams until the late 1980s. Eric Klinger, a prfessr f psychlgy, is the writer f the bk Daydreaming. Klinger says, “We knw nw that daydreaming is ne f the main ways that we rganize ur lives, learn frm ur experiences, and plan fr ur futures. Daydreams really are a windw n the things we fear and the things we lng fr in life.” Daydreams are usually very simple and direct, quite unlike sleep dreams, which may be hard t understand. It’s easier t gain a deep understanding f yur life by paying clse attentin t yur daydreams than by trying t examine yur sleep dreams carefully. Daydreams help yu recgnize the difficult situatins in yur life and find ut a pssible way f dealing with them. Daydreams cannt be predicted; they mve ff in unexpected directin which may be creative and full f ideas. Fr many famus artists and scientists, daydreams were and are a main surce f creative energy.
