并列句是由并列连词把两个或两个以上平等而又互相独立的成分（简单句）连接而成的句子。
(一) 并列关系的并列句
（1）由and连接的并列句。and意为“和、又、然后”，用于表示并列、递进、动作的先后等关系。
My favrite subjects are physics and chemistry, and her favrite subject is PE.I lve junk fd t, and I eat it tw r three times a week. She did the wrk and she did it well.

（2）由nt nly…but als连接的并列句。nt nly…but als…意为“不但…而且…”，重点强调后者。
I nt nly heard it, but als saw it. It is nt nly a wall, but it is als a turist resrt.
（3）由neither…nr…,neither, nr连接的并列句。neither…nr…意为“既不…也不…”，neither, nr意为“也不”。这些词置于句首时，句子应倒装。
Neither d I like skating, nr des my sister. Yu are nt a student, neither/nr am I. Yu didn’t finish ur hmewrk. Neither/Nr did she.
我不喜欢滑冰，我妹妹也不喜欢。
你不是学生，我也不是学生。
你没有完成家庭作业，她也没完成。
(二) 转折关系的并列句
表示转折关系的并列句常用并列连词but, yet, while等连接。
（1）由but连接的并列句
I hate sme chres, t, but I like ther chres. I phned Sally but she was ut. It is ht in summer here, but it is nt cld in winter.
but意为“但是”， 用于表示转折关系，也可以表示对比关系。
（2）由yet连接的并列句
Jane said she was ill, yet I saw her in the street just nw.
yet意为“然而”， 相当于but。

(三) 选择关系的并列句
表示选择关系的并列句常用并列连词r, either…r…等连接。
（1）由r连接的并列句
Yu can watch TV r yu can play cmputer games. We can g t the z r we can g t the park.
r意为“或者”， 表示选择。
3. He must pay the debt r else g t prisn.
r意为“否则”“要不然”， 表示条件，也可以用r else或therwise。
（2）由either…r…连接的并列句
Either he did nt speak distantly r I did nt hear well.不是他没讲清楚，就是我没听明白。
either…r…意为“要么…要么…”， “或者…或者…”。

(四) 因果关系的并列句
表示因果关系的并列句常由s, fr等连接。
（1）由s连接的并列句
I knw the place well, s let me be yur guide.
The shps were clsed s I didn’t get any milk.
（2）由fr连接的并列句
fr作“因为”讲时，表示讲话人的判断依据，也表示因果关系。
We can’t g fr it is raining.
在回答why的问句时，只能用because不能用fr。

复合句是指由一个主句和一个或多个从句构成的句子。主句是全句的主体部分，从句则是全句的一个句子成分。从句在句中可以充当主语、宾语、表语、定语、状语等。
What she says is nt imprtant.

I dn’t think he’s interested in it.
I met a girl wh knew yur sister.
She can’t cme t the meeting because she is ill.
并列复合句是由并列连词把一个或多个简单句与一个或多个复合句连接起来的句子。也就是说并列句中的两个分句中又内含从句，或者说就是含有复合句的并列句。
（1）由and连接的并列复合句
and意为“和、又、然后”，表示并列关系
Welles was cnvincing that hundreds f peple believed the stry, and panic set ff acrss the whle cuntry.
（2）由but连接的并列复合句
but意为“但是”，表示转折关系
I phned Jane but her mther said that she had gne t the library. He likes playing sccer, but he said he didn’t play it as well as his brther.
（3）由r连接的并列复合句
r意为“或者”，表示选择关系
Mst f us have prbably been angry with ur friends, parents r teachers. Perhaps they said smething yu didn’t like, r yu felt they were unfair.
（4）由s连接的并列复合句
s意为“所以”，表示因果关系
