Cartoon time
Step 1 Lead in
1.Culture time
2.Brainstorming.
T: The animals are having a party in the forest. What are they doing?
S1: The tiger is running.

Step 2 Review
1. T: The animals are eating a lot of nice food. What are they eating?
(PPT播放图片,学生看图回答)
2. Name as much food as you can.
(四人一组,轮流说食物名称,比哪组说得最多,选两组来PK)
3. T: Different animals like different food. What do you know about animals’ favourite food?
(将动物与其喜爱的食品连线并尝试说更多,如:Tigers like eating meat. Elephants like

Step 3 Cartoon time
1. Review the old story
T: What food does Bobby like?
S: Bobby likes grapes.
T: Yes, he has many nice grapes in his garden. But who likes Bobby’s grapes too?
S: Pests and ladybirds.
T: Let’s read and retell the previous story about Bobby and his grape garden.
2. Learn the new story.
T: Look at Bobby. He’s so sad. Today who can help him?
Let’s watch the cartoon and find out who helps Bobby at last. (播放卡通)
S: Sam’s ladybirds can.
3. Read and answer
T: Look at the pictures, read the sentences and think about these questions.
a. What’s in Sam’s hand?
b. Why is Bobby so angry?
c. Do Sam’s ladybirds eat the grapes?
d. What’s the difference between those ladybirds? (解释七星和十星瓢虫的区别)
e. How do the good ladybirds help Bobby?
(根据学生回答They drive the bad ladybirds away. 教学drive … away)
f. How does Bobby feel at last?
4. Read the story after the tape. (引导学生体会Bobby的感情变化)
5. Practise reading in different ways.
6. Add an interesting ending to the story.
