invite sb. for… 意为“邀请某人参加……”,介词for后加名词或代词作宾语。
e.g.

invite sb. to… 意为“邀请某人去某地”,介词to后加表示地点的名词或代词作宾语。
e.g.

accept/ək'sept/ v.接受;承认
accept的近义词为receive,反义词为refuse。后接名词(短语)或代词,也可以接从句。
