I think I am going to visit it next month. 【语法提要】 thousands of thousands of意为“数以千计的;许许多多的”。thousand与of连用时,thousand后要加-s,表示一个不确定的数目,其前不能再有其他数词;thousand前有具体的基数词或several等限定词修饰时,thousand通常用单数形式,且不与of连用。 例句:There are thousands of people on the street.街上有成千上万的人。 (1)hundred(百),thousand(千),million(百万),billion(十亿)等数词,当前面与具体数字连用时,其后不加-s,不和of连用。 例句:He would like to pay two hundred yuan.他愿意支付200元。 (2)当这些词后面的名词有了the,these,those等特指限定词修饰时,或其后接的是us,them 这样的人称代词时,则必须用介词 of。 例句:About three hundred of them have left there.他们当中约有300人离开了那儿。 (3)当这些词不与具体数字连用,而是表示不确定的泛指数时,不仅要用复数,而且要后接介词of,然后才能接名词。 例句:The sun was shining.
