(那时)我很矮。此句型用于描述某人过去的外貌特征或性格特点。其句型结构为“主语+was/were+描述外貌特征或性格特点的形容词+其他.”。当主语是第一人称或第三人称单数时, be动词用was,其他情况用were。例:那时我很胖。 I was fat then.【拓展】be动词在一般过去时中的变化:(1) am和is在一般过去时中变为was。 (was not=wasn’t) (2) are在一般过去时中变为were。 (were not=weren’t) (3) 带有was或were的句子,其否定、疑问 的变化和is, am, are一样, 即否定句在 was或were后加not,一般疑问句把was 或were提至句首。例:你爸爸以前是厨师吗?
