A woman next to him was shouting for help. The bus driver, 24-year-old Wang Ping, stopped the bus without thinking twice. He got off and asked the woman what happened. She said that the man had a heart problem and should go to the hospital. Mr. Wang knew he had to act quickly. He told the passengers that he must take the man to the hospital He expected most or all of the passengers to get off and wait for the next bus But to his surprise, they all agreed to go with him. Some passengers helped Mr. Wang to move the man onto the bus. Thanks to Mr. Wang and the passengers, the man was saved by the doctors in time. “It's sad that many people don't want to help others because they don't want any trouble," says one passenger. “But the driver didn't think about himself. He only thought about saving a life.(二)自学检测提问同学们回答问题:What happened to the man lying by the road?任务二(一) 自学指导请同学们再读一遍文章,找到相关细节信息,回答以下问题,What was the person next to him doing?Did this man die?Who do you think is going to save the man?(三)自我检测请同学们回答指导中的问题任务三(一)自学指导请同学们仔细读一遍文章,试着翻译,并标出不理解的单词、短语或句子。(二)自我检测翻译看到路边躺着一位老人 _____________________________2. 他身旁的一位女士 ___________________ 3. 呼喊救命 _____________4. 没有多想 _____________ 5. 下车 _________________ 6. 有心脏病___________________________ 7. 带他去医院 ________________________8. 期望乘客们下车 _________________________9. 等下一趟公车 _______________________ 10. 令他惊讶的是 ________________________ 四.后教 知识点:...when the driver saw an old man lying on the side of the road.see sb. doing sth. 看见某人正在做某事辨析:see sb. doing sth. 与see sb. do sth.see sb. doing sth. “看见某人正在做某事”,强调看到某个动作正在进行。see sb. do sth. “看见某人做某事”,强调看到某个动作经常发生或发生的全过程。e.g. I saw the boys playing football in the park. 我看到男孩们正在公园里踢足球。(指动作正在进行) I saw Mr. Wang go into the library just now. 刚才我看到王老师进了图书馆。(指看到了动作发生的全过程) 类似用法的词还有watch(观看;注视)、notice(注意到)、hear(听到)等。该类词后面接doing sth. 时,强调动作正在进行;后接do sth. 时强调动作的经常性或完整性。The bus driver, 24-year-old Wang Ping, stopped the bus without thinking twice.(1) 基数词-year-old ……岁的特别提醒:基数词-year-old 通常和不定冠词放在一起考查,考查时,前面的基数词通常使用阿拉伯数字,最常见的是“8”和“11”,此时前面的不定冠词应使用an,因为eight 和eleven 的发音都是以元音音素开头。辨析:“基数词-year-old”与“基数词 + years old”基数词-year-old作形容词,意为“ ……岁的”。词与词之间要有“-”,year 要使用单数形式,用在名词前作定语。基数词+ years old固定短语,意为“ ……岁”。词与词之间不能使用连字符,year要使用复数形式(岁数大于1 时) ,常作表语。e.g. Our new teacher, Mr. Wang, has an 8-year-old daughter. 我们的新老师王老师有一个8 岁的女儿。My little son is only three years old. 我的小儿子只有三岁。(2) think twice 再三考虑e.g. Think twice before sharing information online! 在网上分享信息之前要三思!You should think twice about lending money to him. 就借钱给他这件事你应该三思。think twice 是固定短语,并非“考虑两次”。常用结构:think twice about (doing) sth.,意为“再三考虑(做)某事”He got off and asked the woman what happened.get off 下车 get off 多指从公共汽车、火车或飞机等空间较大的交通工具上下来。e.g. Don’t get off until the bus stops. 公交车停下再下车。拓展:get into 和get out of 指上/ 下小型交通工具,比如汽车、出租车等。五.强化记忆学生大声朗读背诵所讲知识点(5分钟),同桌互查。六.知识梳理 see sb. doing sth. 看见某人正在做某事 基数词-year-old ……岁的 think twice 再三考虑 get off 下车七.当堂检测
