Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister.Section B (2a-2e) 课时2一、导入Have a review about the last lesson.二、目标Have a better understanding of the article.Master the language points:necessary, be different from, both, better, however, less, though, etc..Improve reading abilities.   三、先学Students read the passage and try to translate, underline the words or phrases they don’t understand;四、后教The teacher translate the passage with the students.Explain the important and difficult points.Language points:(1)  It’s not necessary to be the same.  necessary /'nesəsəri/, /'nesəseri/ adj. 必需的；必要的e.g. It’s necessary for you to keep secrets for your friends.对你来说为你的朋友们保守秘密很有必要。necessary 作形容词，只能用来修饰物，不能用来修饰人。常用于句型：It’s necessary for sb.to do sth. （对于某人来说做某事是必要的。）(2)  However, Larry often helps to bring out the best in me.bring out 使显现；使表现出e.g. My English teacher always tries her best to bring out the best in me. 我的英语老师总是尽力把我最好的一面展现出来。(3)  Larry is much less hard-working, though.“less + 形容词/副词原级 + than”结构，表示降级比较，相当于“not as/so…as”。此时less 作副词，意为“没那么”(4) I always get better grades than he does, so maybe I should help him more.should /ʃʊd; ʃəd/ modal v. 应当；应该；可以e.g. We should leave clean waters and green mountains to our next generations. 我们应当把绿水青山留给我们的后辈。should作情态动词否定式是shouldn’t，意思是“不应当”。其后接动词原形，没有人称 和数的变化。常用来表示建议、劝告、要求或征询意见等。(5)  My favorite saying is, “A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.”① reach /riːtʃ/ v. 伸手；到达；抵达reach 意为“伸手”，reach for one’s hand 意为“伸手帮某人一把”。e.g. Can you reach for my hand? 你能伸手帮我一下吗?reach 及物动词，后面直接跟表示地点的名词。arrive 不及物动词，其后要先接介词再接地点名词。接大地点要使用in，接小地点要使用at。get 不及物动词，接地点名词时要使用介词to。② touch one’s heart 触动某人的心(6) In fact, she’s funnier than anyone I know.in fact 事实上in fact 用于修正、引出相反意见或对比等。也可以翻译成“其实；准确地说”。五、强化记忆Students read the article aloud.Students remember the language points;六、当堂检测Ask some students to read the article.完成课时练33-34页。
