When Ariel rode her bike to the riverside, she saw a beautiful swan lying near the riverside. Ariel worked at the Wild Bird Fund rehab centre (康复中心) and knew that swans could be aggressive. So she should be careful to prevent herself from being hurt. But as she went near this one, she found that it was badly hurt. “I should help it, or it will die,” she thought.
Ariel put her jacket over the bird’s head to keep it calm first. She picked it up softly, and held it in her arms.
