Teaching methods: situational communication, cooperative inquiry, question and answerTeaching AIDS: PPT, picture displayTeaching steps Step 1: Lead inT:你如何出行 ?S:(学生给出自己的答案)【教学设计说明】This part is to let the students know their own way of travel through the question and answer, so as to introduce the topic of this lesson.Step 2: work on 1a. Language GoalTalk about how to get to placesMatch the words with the pictures.  Hey, Dave. How do you get to school?I walk.  How about youSally?I ride my bike.【教学设计说明】The main purpose of this section is to familiarize students with the phrasal verbs of travel, learn key sentence patterns and practice them, as well as prepare them for later listening.Step 3. work on 1b Listen and write the numbers next to the correct students in the picture above.T: Let’s check the answers. 【教学设计说明】This section asks students to listen to sounds and test their listening and general use skills.Step 4. Language points1.take the train乘火车eg: I take the train to Beijing.我乘火车去北京。take the + 交通工具”用于表示“乘……”,相当于“go to...by + 交通工具”。eg: I will take the train to Kunming.I will go to Kunming by train. 我将乘火车去昆明。by+交通工具”短语中间不加任何冠词或物主代词,且交通工具也不用复数形式。by train乘火车     by bus乘公交车  eg: I go to Beijing by train.我乘火车去北京。train还可作动词,训练;培训;接受训练”等。eg: How do you train your dog?你是如何训练你的狗的?2.How do you get to school?你是怎样到校的? —I walk.我步行。3. 这是用来询问交通方式的交际用语。句法分析:句中how对交通方式进行提问。对本单元出现的以下短语进行提问要用特殊疑问词how4.辨析get toarrivereachget toarrive at/in后接副词homehere,there等时,要去掉介词toat/in【教学设计说明】This part is aim to let students to know more specific details about these words,phrases and sentences.Step 5. work on 1cTeam work Look at the picture in 1a.How do the students get to schoolPractice the conversations below with your partner. Make conversations with your partner.T: Now, could you please present your conversations for the class? Let`s turn the turntable and choose one team?(Have Ss form pairs and practice the conversations in the picture. Walk around the classroom to monitor their work. Have Ss introduce their family members using the conversations as a model. Have Ss mingle and practice the conversations.
