二、难点句型解析。
1.—When is the art show ?
艺术节在什么时候？
—It’s on May 1st. 在5月1日。
【解析】询问“节日在什么时候？”的句型及回答
问句：When is＋节日？
答句：It’s on＋具体日期．
例句：—When is New Year’s Day? —It’s on January 1st.
新年是什么时候？它在1月1日。
如何读英语日期:读日期的时候序数词前要加定冠词“the”。
例如：10月3日→ October 3rd
读作：October the third
2.—When is your birthday? —My birthday is on April 4th.
你的生日是什么时候？我的生日是4月4日。
【解析】询问“某人的生日在什么时候”的句型
该句是由When引导的特殊疑问句。When用来询问时间。
句型结构为：When is＋名词所有格或形容词性物主代词＋birthday?
答语的句型结构有两种
1．名词所有格或形容词性物主代词＋birthday＋is ＋on＋日期．
2．It’s on＋日期．
例句：—When is Grandpa’s birthday?
—Grandpa’s birthday is on April 8th.
爷爷的生日是什么时候？爷爷的生日在4月8日。
- We can have a birthday party for both of you!
我们可以为你们两个举办一个生日聚会！
【解析】both of的用法：意为“两者都”，一般放在名词和代词前面。
例句：She can eat both of the apples.
她能吃两个苹果。
辨析：both of与all of
both of用于两者，all of用于三者或三者以上。
例句：Both of them are happy. 她们两个都很高兴。
例句：All of them are happy. 他们都很高兴。
重点语法：
【基数词和序数词】
定义：“基数词”是指描述事物数量多少的数词；“序数词”是指表示顺序的数词。
基数词变序数词口诀
基变序，有规律；词尾常加th。
一 二 三，特殊记；词尾字母t、d、d。
八去t，九去e; ve要用f 替。
ty 结尾y 变i，th 前加上e.
若是遇到几十几，前用基来后用序。
例如：first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd), fifth (5th),eighth (8th), ninth (9th), twelfth (12th), twentieth (20th), thirty-first (31th)。
