If yu ever have a chance t visit Cllege Pint, yu will be impressed by many things. The first amng them is perhaps the paper rlls. Each f them is half as heavy as a car (that is, abut 900 kilgrams). They are mved frm the strage t the printing presses with the help f three rbtic arms. There are als 30,000 liters (升) f black ink and 9,500 liters f clred ink. Trucks deliver ink t the plant every week.
Finished newspaper pages are sent digitally frm the newsrm t the plant. They are then burned (刻) with lasers nt thin aluminum (铝制的) sheets called plates. There are seven printing presses at Cllege Pint. Each f them is several stries tall. During a print run, they can print as many as 80,000 newspapers per hur. Pressmen wuld carefully adjust the presses befre they place the plates n the machines. Electricians and machinists are als n hand during this setup t slve any prblems that may ccur. The nise f the running presses is awful. Each press is shut dwn fr ne shift (轮班) each week. Press staff will then climb inside t maintain (保养) the machine’s key parts.
