(1)用and,but,r,while(而,却),when(就在这个时候)等构成并列句。
(2) 用if,unless,befre,after,until,althugh,thugh,as,since,because,s,s that等构成含状语从句的复合句(这里要注意区分一下复杂句和复合句,复合句是包含在复杂句这个概念里面的,在下文的基础写作部分有提到)。
(3)用wh,which,that,when,where,why等构成含定语从句的复合句。
1]I can send a message t Kenya whenever I want t, and ___38___ gets there almst in a secnd.
2]It is said that a shrt-tempered man in the Sng Dynasty (960—1279) was very anxius t help ___33___rice crp grw up quickly.
[例3]…the head f the village was tying up his hrse t my car t pull it t ___35___ small twn sme 20 kilmeters away where there was a garage.
4]… wh shuld have the hnur f receiving me ___33___ a guest in their huse.
5]…tw wrld-famus artists, Pabl Picass ___34___ Candid Prtinari, which are wrth millins f dllars.
[例6]…all I saw was this beautiful girl, whse smile just melted me ___36___almst instantly gave me a cmpletely new sense f what life is all abut.
7] I wanted t see as much f the city as pssible in the tw days ___32___I was t return t Guangzhu.
[例8] He was very tired after ding this fr a whle day, ___37___he felt very happy…
9]What is acceptable in ne cuntry ___31___be cnsidered extremely rude in anther.
[例10] He had n time r energy t play with his children r talk with his wife, but he ____ bring hme a regular salary.
(1)由it is…that…
[例11] …and ___40___was nly after I heard she became sick that I learned she culdn’t eat MSG (味精)!
12] ______with hard wrk can yu expect t get pay rise.
13] …as ___32___tk them just three minutes t steal paintings by tw wrld-famus artists…
[例14]Dating sites als make ___36___easy t avid smene whm yu are nt interested in.
(4)s /such…that…句型。如:
[例15] This made the gat s jealus ___34___it began pltting against (谋划对付) the dnkey.
(5)mre…than…
16]Cynthia’s stry shws vividly that peple remember mre hw much a manager cares ___40___ hw much he pays.
17]His fear f failure ___36___ (keep) him frm classrm games that ther children played with jyus abandn.
18] That was definitely nt an attractive idea s I plitely declined her
Invitatin, ___40___ (clse) my bk and walked away.
19] In Lgan, three peple ___38___ (take)t a hspital, while thers were treated at a lcal clinic.
20] …but it is nt enugh nly ___35___(memrize) rules frm a grammar bk.
21] ______ (speak) ut yur inner feeling wn’t make yu feel ashamed, n the cntrary…
22] _______ (cmplete) the prject as planned, we’ll have t wrk tw mre hurs a day.
23] Sme peple say that ldest children, wh are smart and strng-willed, are very likely ___33___ (succeed). ‘
24] He saw the stne, ___37___ (say) t himself: “The night will be very dark.”
25] The headmaster went int the lab, ________(fllw) by the freign guests.
26] There will be a meeting, ___40___ (start) later this year t review the film.
27] Lessns ___39___ (learn) in sprts can help us in ur dealing with ther peple.
28] The yungster immediately fell ________ (silence) as tears flew dwn frm his big blue eyes.
29] In a ________ (danger) part f the sea ff the cast f New Zealand, they learnt t…
30] Teachers must try their best t make mst f their students ________ (interest) in the subject
31] When China’s ancient scientific and technlgical ________ (achieve) are mentined, the natin will generally refer t the Fur Great Inventins.
32] These peple have made great ___39___ (cntribute) t China with their wrk.’
33] …instructrs expect students t be familiar with ___32___ (infrm) in the reading…
34] …the remains date frm this perid because f their 38 (similar) t thse fund elsewhere.
35] With the large numbers f students, the ____ (perate) f the system des invlve a certain amunt f activity.
36] As I lked ___32___ (clse) at this girl, I funt that…
37] There must be smething ___40___ (serius) wrng with ur sciety.
[例38]Singles are flcking(涌向) t the Internet ___33___ (main) because their busy lifestyles leave them little time…
39] Peple certainly have a variety f reasns fr ging back t schl but ne imprtant thing t knw is, n knwledge is ________ (use).
40] Yur mistake caused a lt f ________ (necessary) wrk in the ffice.
41]…there was a lt f infrmatin abut the city’s well-knwn turist ___34___ (attract)…
42]The ther frg went n jumping as hard as he culd…He jumped even ___36___ (hard) and finally made himself ut.
43]Strms which prduced at least 13 trnades swept alng New Mexic’s brder with Texas n Friday, destrying hmes and ther buildings and injuring at least 16 peple, several critically, authrities said.
The ___33___ (bad) damage was reprted in the twns f Lgan and Clvis, which are abut 80 miles apart, plice said.
