On May 11, Academician Zhong Nanshan said in an International Nurses’ Day blessing video: “I have been engaged (从事) in clinical (临床的) medical work for more than 60 years, and I have always firmly believed that medical treatment can’t be separated from nursing.” Nowadays, nurses and doctors are called “angels in white” together.

Ms. Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing, was born in Italy on May 12, 1820.

She got the nickname “The Lady with the Lamp” during the Crimean war. Every night, Nightingale would make rounds through the hospitals to check on the men with a small lamp in her hands.

Every year, thousands of people come to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, to be part of the Edinburgh Festival. In 1947, a group of famous people from the art world decided to hold an international festival of music, dance and theater in Edinburgh.
