Lesson 9: Whose Coat Is This?
设计说明 首先复习表示颜色的词,接着利用实物学习两个句式Whose…is this?Is this your…?并进行练习;利用图片学习生词scarf和gloves及句式It’s too short/too big/too small/ just right for sb.并进行练习。然后,利用听力导入教材对话,通过读后回答问题、跟读、表演等环节帮助学生理解并掌握对话内容。最后,要求学生利用教材Let’s Do It! No. 4中提供的材料编写对话,以达到学以致用的目的。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握单词:scarf, glove, maybe, just 接触单词:Bob, Lynn 短语:just right 2. 能力目标 (1)能就物品的所属关系询问他人; (2)能用big, small, just right谈论物品的规格。 3. 情感目标 养成助人为乐的优良品质。 重点难点 1.重点:掌握本课节重点单词和短语。 2.难点:能就物品的所属关系询问他人; 能用big, small, just right谈论物品的规格。 教学准备 PPT课件;围巾和手套的图片;钢笔和橡皮。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Review the colours. Show seven colours to the class and ask: What colours are they? How can we make green/purple/orange?
Step 2 Presentation 1. Teach the sentence Whose…is this? using a pen. Teacher holds up a student’s pen and asks: What’s this? (Ss: It’s a pen.) What colour is it? (Ss: It’s…) Whose pen is this? (Ss: It’s xxx’s. ) 2. Teach the sentence Is it one’s…? using an eraser. Teacher holds up an eraser and asks: What’s this? (Ss: It’s an eraser.) Whose eraser is this? Is it your eraser, xxx? (S: Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t. It’s xxx’s.) Step 3 Practice Make up a new conversation using their own objects in pairs. A: What’s this? B: It’s a/an... A: Whose…is this? Is it your…, xxx? B: Yes, it is. / No. It’s xxx’s. Step 4 Presentation Teach the new words scarf, gloves and the sentence It’s (或 They’re) too short/ too big/ too small/just right for sb. using the pictures and conversations. 1.

Step 5 Practice 1. Get the class to practice the conversation using the following pictures. A: What is this/are these? B: It’s/They’re... A: Whose…is it/are they? Is it/Are they your…, xxx? B: No. It’s/they’re too…for me. It’s/ They’re xxx’s./ Yes, it is/they are. It’s/ They’re just right for me.

Read the conversation by themselves in groups of three. 3. Act the conversation out in groups of three. Step 9 Exercises Get the class to fill in the blanks with words from this lesson.(Let’s Do It! No. 3) 1. A: Is this ________ coat, Bob? B: Yes. It is my coat. 2. A: ________ gloves are these? B: They are Lynn’s gloves. 3. A: Do you like these shorts? B: Yes. They are just ________ for me. 4. A: Is this Mike’s shirt? B: No. It is too ________ for him. It’s Bob’s shirt. Answers: 1. your 2. Whose 3. right 4. big/small Step 10 Making up 1. Get the class to read the example and look at the objects in the “Lost and Found”in Let’s Do It! No. 4. And then make up a dialogue according to the example. 2. Check them. Get the class to read their dialogue in pairs. Step 11 Summary Review the following sentences learnt in this lesson with the whole class. 1. —Whose…is this/are these? —It’s/They’re xxx’s… 2. —Is this/Are these your/…? —Yes, it is/they are./No, it isn’t/they aren’ t. 3. It’s/They’re just right/too big/…for sb. Step 12 Language points 1. Whose coat is this? 这是谁的外套? whose pron. 谁的。在句中可作表语、定语等。 Whose is that computer? 那台电脑是谁的?(作表语) Whose sweaters are these? 这些是谁的毛衣?(作定语) whose可对下列内容进行提问: ①提问形容词性物主代词。 These are my bananas. →Whose bananas are these? ②提问名词性物主代词。 That room is mine. →Whose is that room? ③提问名词所有格(不包括of构成的所有格)。 Those are the twins’ bags.→ Whose bags are those? 2. It’s too big for me.它对我来说太大了。 (1) Sth. + be + adj. + for sb.某物对某人来说…… Maths is too difficult for me.数学对我来说太难了。 (2) too adv. 太。修饰形容词或副词。 The desk is too big.这张书桌太大了。 You speak too fast.你说得太快了。 3. Whose scarf is this? 这是谁的围巾? scarf n. 围巾;头巾 它的复数形式有两种形式,scarfs和scarves。 Is this your scarf? 这是你的围巾吗? Their scarfs/scarves are very beautiful.他们的围巾很漂亮。 4. Whose gloves are these?这是谁的手套? glove n. 手套。复数形式为gloves。 My gloves are very warm.我的手套很暖和。 【拓展】英语中,有些物品由两部分构成,此类名词通常用复数形式,作主语时谓语动词用复数形式。 Shorts are my favourite clothes.短裤是我最喜欢的衣服。 5. Maybe they’re Lynn’s gloves.或许它们是琳的手套。 辨析:maybe与may be
Maybe you are right. = You may be right. 或许你是对的。 6. They’re just right for me!它们对我来说正合适! just right 正好;刚刚好。just此处为副词,意为“恰恰;刚刚”,不能用于否定句中。 The book is just right for the children to read. 这本书正适合孩子们阅读。 He has just five pens.他正好有5支钢笔。 Step 13 Homework 1.
