Lesson 30: Grandma’s Birthday Party
设计说明 首先,通过两人问答引入“生日聚会”的话题,并用六幅图片展示在一个生日聚会上的各种活动,为学习课文做好铺垫。接着,利用图片学习本课的生词。然后学习课文,通过听后连线、读后回答问题、边读边找重要的表达并进行翻译和完成句子等环节来步步递进、层层深入的学习课文。最后 通过Let’s Do It! No. 3的练习,练习一般现在时和现在完成时两种时态。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:set 接触词汇:Jane, Fred, Heidi, teacup 短语:set the table 2.能力目标 理解短文,流利地朗读短文;能够描述一次生日聚会的场景。 3.情感目标 了解东西方文化差异。 重点难点 1. 重点:掌握本课节新学的词汇;理解并朗读课文。 2. 难点:能根据语境恰当使用一般现在时和现在进行时。 教学准备 PPT 课件,本课节的有关音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Get the students to work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions: A: When is your grandma’s birthday? B: … B: … A: What do you and your family do for her? B: … A: Does she usually get many presents? B: … 2. Teacher says: What do we usually do when celebrating a birthday? Let’s look at some pictures (have a party, cook delicious food, give presents, sing and dance, eat a birthday cake, talk and laugh).

2. Get the class to read and remember the new words. Step 3 Listening and matching Teacher says: Today is Jenny’s grandma’s birthday. Her family is having a birthday party. What is the family doing? Listen and match the people with the actions. (Let’s Do It! No. 1) Answers:(Above) Step 4 Reading and answering Get the class to read the lesson and answer the questions. (Let’s Do It! No. 2 ) 1. What is Jenny’s family doing? 2. Where is the party? 3. Who is Jenny’s grandmother dancing with? Answers: 1. They are having a party for Grandma’s birthday. 2. It’s at Jenny’s grandma and grandpa’s house. 3. She is dancing with Jenny’s cousins. Step 5 Reading, finding and translating Get the class to read the lesson and find the following phrases, then translate them into Chinese. 1. have a party 2. set the table 3. play with 4. like to do sth. 5. have fun Answers: 1. 举行聚会 2. 摆放餐具 3. 与……玩耍 4. 喜欢做某事 5. 玩得开心 Step 6 Reading Get the class to read after the recording. Step 7 Practice 1. Show five pictures. Ask the students to fill in the blanks according to the pictures.

Step 9 Summary Review what we learned in this lesson with the whole class. 1. 现在进行时态表示正在进行或发生的动作: My brother Bob is setting the table. My mother and Aunt Jane are cooking. 2. 一般现在时态表示经常发生的动作或现在存在的状态: She likes to have fun. I love my grandma. We are all happy. Step 10 Language points 1. It’s at my grandma and grandpa’s house. 聚会安排在我爷爷奶奶家。 grandma and grandpa’s house意为“爷爷奶奶家”,其中的“’s”是名词所有格。 (1) 单独表示某人所有,在单数名词的后面直接加“’s”即可。 Tony’s brother 托尼的哥哥 (2) 表示两者或两者以上共同所有,只在最后一个名词后面加“’s”。 Lucy and Lily’s bedroom 露西和莉莉(两人)的卧室 (3) 表示两者或两者以上分别拥有,则在每个名词的后面都加“‘s”。 Jenny’s and Mary’s mothers 詹妮的和玛丽的妈妈 2. My brother Bob is setting the table. 我哥哥鲍勃正在摆放餐具。 set the table意为“摆放餐具”,其中set是及物动词,意为“摆放;安置”, 现在分词是setting。 Do you often help set the table at home? 你在家里经常帮助摆放餐具吗? Please set the chair over there. 请把椅子摆放在那边。 3. We are all happy. 我们都很高兴。 all作代词,意为“都;全部”,用于三者或三者以上的人或物,可以单独使用,通常位于be动词、情态动词或助动词之后,实义动词之前。all也可构成“all of +代词/名词”结构。 They are all students. 他们都是学生。 We will all go to the party. 我们都将去参加聚会。 They all work in the hospital. 他们都在这家医院工作。 All of us like dancing. 我们都喜欢跳舞。 [拓展] all作形容词,意为“全部的,所有的”,通常位于名词之前作定语。可以修饰可数名词,也可以修饰不可数名词。 All parents love their children. 所有的父母都爱自己的孩子。 4. Where is the party? 聚会在哪儿? where是疑问副词,意为“在哪儿”,用于询问地点。“Where is/are...?”是询问某人或某物位置的常用句型,回答的时候常用描述方位的介宾短语。 —Where is Jim? 吉姆在哪儿? —He is in the classroom. 他在教室里。 —Where is the bookstore? 书店在哪儿? —It is near the supermarket. 它在超市附近。 Step 11 Homework 1.
