    Lesson 32: At the Supermarket

     

    设计说明

    首先通过一个情景对话引入购物的话题,接着,利用图片和创设情境编对话学习本课节的生词和相关词汇。然后,通过听后连线、阅读回答问题和阅读填空、找短语等环节逐步理解对话内容,并在此基础上进行对话表演;最后,处理本课中剩余的练习题并进行总结。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    (1) 掌握单词:fresh, follow, count, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, hundred

    (2) 短语和句型:next to;

    May I help you? No problem. Yes? What can I do for you? I will take it.

    2.能力目标

    理解对话,能够使用购物常用句型进行交际。

    3.情感目标

    养成善于与他人进行交流的好习惯,掌握一些谈话的技巧。

    重点难点

    1.重点:本课节重点单词、短语、句型。

    2.难点能用英语编写购物的对话。

    教学过程

    Step 1  Leading in

    Get the class to have a conversation in pairs like this, and then check them.

    A: Do you often go shopping?

    B: …

    A: How do you usually get to the supermarket?

    B: …

    A: What does the clerk店员usually say to you?

    B: …

    A: How do you ask the price价格?

    B: …

    Step 2  Presentation 

    1. Show two pictures to teach the new words fresh and follow.

     

     

    The vegetables are so fresh.

     

     

     

    The baby ducks are following their mother.

     

     

    2. Teach the new word count and the numbers forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety , hundred by asking the students to count them.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Step 3  Review

    Show four pictures. Get the students to ask and answer about them to go over the word carrot, potato, T-shirt and jacket.

    Step 4  Listening and matching

    Teacher says: What do Li Ming and his mother want to buy? Listen and match the pictures. (Let’s Do It! No. 1 )

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Step 4  Reading and answering

    Get the class to read the lesson and answer the questions.(Let’s Do It! No. 2)

    1. Where are Li Ming and his mum?

    2. Where are the potatoes?

    3. How much is the red T-shirt?

    Answers: 1. They are at the supermarket.

    2. They are next to the carrots.

    3. (It’s) 65 yuan.

    Step 5  Reading and filling

    Get the class to read the lesson and fill in the blanks.

    Mrs. Li wants to buy some fresh ________. She is looking for the ________. They are next to the ________.

    Li Ming wants to buy a ________. He doesn’t like ________. He would like to buy a ________ one.

    Answers: vegetables, potatoes, carrots, T-shirt, green, red

    Step 6  Reading, finding and translating

    Get the students to read the dialogue and find the following phrases, and then translate them.

    1. want to do sth.

    2. look for

    3. next to

    4. show sb. sth.

    5. excuse me

    6. would like to do sth.

    7. over there

    8. how much

    Answers: 1. 想要做某事 2. 寻找 3. 紧邻;挨着 4. 向某人展示某物

    Step 7  Practice

    1. Get the class to read following the recording. Then work in pairs. Look at the pictures and act out the dialogues in front of the class.

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Count the numbers forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety and hundred with the students.

    Step 8  Exercises

    1. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words or phrases in the box.

    2. Teacher says: Work in pairs. Look at the pictures below and make up a dialogue about buying things at the supermarket.(Let’s Do It! No. 4)

    A: Ill show you! Please follow me.

    B: Thank you.

     

    A: How much is it/ are they?

    B: Its / They are

    A: OK. I will take it/ them.

    Step 9  Summary

    Sum up what we’ve learnt in this period with the class.

    购物常用句型:

    May / Can I help you? / What can I do for you?

    Yes. I am looking for… / I’d like to buy…

    Yes! They are…

     

    How much is it/ are they?

    It’s / They’re …

    Step 10  Language points

    1. Li Ming and his mum are shopping at the supermarket.

    李明和他的妈妈正在超市购物。

    此处shop作不及物动词,意为购物短语go shopping do some shopping表示购物

    I often shop on Sundays.我经常在星期天购物。

    Let’s go shopping in the afternoon.下午我们去购物吧。

    shop作可数名词,意为商店,与store意思相同。

    Look at the shop. It’s open. 看那个商店,门开着。

    2. Mrs. Li wants to buy some fresh vegetables.

    李夫人想买一些新鲜的蔬菜。

    (1) want to do sth.意为想要做某事,相当于would like to do sth.

    I want to do some shopping. = I would like to do some shopping.

    我想去买些东西。

    (2) buy及物动词,意为buy sth. for sb.相当于buy sb. sth.,意为

    某人买某物

     Mrs. Zhang is buying some food. 张夫人正在买一些食物。

     I want to buy a present for my mother. 我想给我的母亲买一件礼物。

    3. They are next to the carrots. 它们挨着胡萝卜。

     next to相当于beside,意为紧邻;挨着

    In the picture, my cousin is next to me.

     在这张照片上,我的表妹紧挨着我。

    4. No problem. 不用谢。

    no problem可用于回答别人的道谢,意为不用谢,相当于“You are welcome.”

    Thanks a lot.非常感谢。

    No problem. 不用谢。

     no problem还可表示没问题,行,表示应允。

     No problem. 没问题。

    5. Please follow me. 请跟我来。

     follow意为跟随

     Follow me and you will find the park.跟着我你就会找到公园。

     Can you follow me? 你能明白我的话吗?

    6. I will take it. 我买这件了。

     take用于购物场合,意为,相当于buy。在口语中,当顾客选中商品,决定购买时,常说“I will take it/ them.”

     The shirt is very nice. I will take it. 这件衬衣很漂亮,我要买它了。

    7. one hundred 一百

     hundred数词,意为。前面有基数词时,表示具体的数量,hundred不能加-s

     two hundred 二百          eight hundred八百

      hundreds of是固定短语,意为成百上千的,前面不能再加基数词。

     There are hundreds of trees over there.那边有成百上千棵树。
