Lesson 39: A Class Calendar
设计说明 首先,复习上一课学习的月份,过渡到本课的学习,并学习本课的生词,紧跟着利用Let’s Do It! No.1进行单词笔头练习。再次,通过听后回答问题,阅后根据图片填空、读后匹配、阅读填空、阅读找出重要表达等来层层加深对课文的学习,并要求学生表演对话。最后,总结课堂内容,处理本课其他的练习,并进行自我检测。本课节讲练结合,层层递进,使学生高效学习,掌握所学内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:date, January, March, April, June, second, February, third, fourth, fifth, May, sixth 短语和句型:What’s the date? Sports Day 2.能力目标 (1)理解对话,正确朗读对话; (2)能谈论日期。 3.情感目标 学习规划自己的事情,增强自己做事的计划性。 重点难点 1. 重点:本课节重点单词;理解并朗读课文。 2. 难点:能用英语谈论自己最喜欢的月份。 教学准备 PPT 课件;课文音频;日历表 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Review 1. Homework check. 2. Review what the students learned in the last lesson. Step 2 Leading in Get the students to ask and answer in pairs like this: A: How many months are there in a year?
B: There are twelve. A: Can you say some names of the months? B: Yes, … A: What’s your favourite month? B: ...
Step 3 Presentation 1. Get the students to read the new words date, January, March, April, June, February and May by themselves. Then get the students to repeat the words two or three times after the teacher. Make sure they can pronounce them correctly. date /deɪt/ n.日期;约会 January /ˈdʒænjuərɪ/ n. 一月 March /mɑːtʃ/ n. 三月 April /ˈeɪprəl/ n. 四月 June /dʒuːn/ n. 六月 February /ˈfebrʊərɪ/ n. 二月 May /meɪ/ n. 五月 2. Go over the words one, two, three, four, five and six, and then teach the new words second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth . one 一 → first num.第一 two 二 → second /ˈsekənd/ num. 第二 three 三 →third /θɜːd/ num. 第三 four 四 → fourth /fɔːθ/ num. 第四 five 五 → fifth /fɪfθ/ num. 第五 six 六 →sixth /sɪksθ/ num. 第六 Step 4 Practice Search for month and ordinal number words. Then write them down. (Let’s Do It! No. 1) Answers: April, February, fifth, June, first, fourth, sixth, second, May, March, third Step 5 Listening and answering Get the class to listen to Part 1 and answer the question. How many events can you hear? Answer: Four. Step 6 Reading 1. Get the students to read Part 1 of the lesson and write the events below the pictures. 2. Get the class to read Part 1 again and match the events with the dates.

Class 6 4. 15 Step 8 Reading , finding and translating Get the class to read the lesson and find the following phrases, and then translate them. 1. on this day 2. have a class party 3. have Sports Day 4. have a basketball game against... 5. the first month of a new year Answers: 1. 在这一天 2. 举行班级聚会 3.举行运动会 4. 和……进行篮球比赛 5. 新年的第一个月 Step 9 Listening and acting 1. Get the class to read the lesson following the recording. 2. Get them to read by themselves. 3. Get them to act out the second part in groups. Step 10 Summary Review the following sentences learnt in this lesson with the whole class. 询问和回答日期的句型: —What’s the date today? 今天是什么日期? —Today / It is December 19.今天是12月19日。 Step 11 Exercise 1. Get the students to listen to the statement and match the dates with the events.(Let’s Do It! No. 2) Answers: 2. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the given words. (Let’s Do It! No. 3) 1. January is the ________ (one) month of the year. 2. Who is the ________ (four) boy on your team? 3. A: What is the ________ (three) month of the year? B: It’s March. 4. I like spring. Teacher says: Work in groups. Mark your class calendar for the coming months. Then talk about it. (Let’s Do It! No. 4) 2. Ask some groups to act out their dialogues. Step 13 Language points 1. What’s the date today, Li Ming? 李明,今天几号? What’s the date?用来询问日期,回答时常用“It’s +日期(月日)”。 —What’s the date today? 今天几号? —It’s May 2. 今天是5月2日。 —What’s the date tomorrow? 明天是几号? —It’s December 11. 明天是12月11日。 [注意] 询问星期几的句型是“What day is it?”。 —What day is it today? 今天星期几? —It’s Sunday. 今天是星期日。 2. We have a basketball game against Class 6 on April 12. 在4月12日,我们和六班有场篮球比赛。 against介词,意为“与……比赛”。 Tomorrow we will play against Class 1 on the playground. 明天我们将和一班在操场上比赛。 3. What month comes after December? 十二月后边是哪个月? come after表示“在……之后”。 Summer comes after spring. 春天之后,夏天到来。 Jim’s sister always comes after him. 吉姆的妹妹总是跟在他的后面。 [拓展] run after表示“追赶” 。 The dog is running after the cat. 那只狗正在追赶猫。 4. In April, we have our second basketball game against Class 6. 在4月份,我们要和六班举行第二场篮球赛。 second序数词,意为“第二”,类似的词还有first(第一),third(第三),fourth(第四),fifth(第五)等。序数词不表示数量,而是表示次序,使用时前面通常加定冠词the或形容词性物主代词。 February is the second month of the year. 二月是一年的第二个月。 It is my first day at the new school. 这是我在新学校的第一天。 Step 14 Homework 1.
