Lesson 41: Holidays
设计说明 首先,通过讨论一个问题导入新课,接着,利用图片学习本课的相关节日,并学习新单词,为学习课文做好铺垫。然后通过听录音连线、读课文回答问题、读后找短语等形式学习第一部分课文,并复述课文;然后,通过听后填空、读后找短语的形式学习第二部分课文,再让学生读课文找出重要的短语。练习1和2边学课文边处理,练习3和4最后处理。本课节与节日相关,利用各种图片烘托节日气氛,使学生在愉快的气氛中学习并掌握所学内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:present, international, national, festival, usually, during, mountain, climb 短语和句型:International Workers’ Day, Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day, National Day, the Spring Festival, New Year’s Day, watch a movie, go mountain climbing; What do you like to do on holidays? 2.能力目标 (1)理解并朗读短文; (2)能够谈论假期喜欢做的事情。 3.情感目标 了解中国节日,增强对中国文化的自信。 重点难点 1. 重点:(1)掌握本课节新学的词汇; (2)掌握节日的英语表达。 2. 难点:用英语谈论自己和他人在节日里所从事的活动。 教学准备 PPT 课件,本课节的有关音频,与生词相关的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Review 1. Homework check. 2. Have a conversation to review birthdays and dates. Work in pairs like this: A: When is your grandfather’s/... birthday? B: His/... birthday is on July 12. Step 2 Leading in Get the class to discuss this question: What holidays do you celebrate in each month? And ask some students to give their answers. Step 3 Presentation 1. Show the class some pictures and teach the holidays the Spring Festival, Children’s Day, National Day, Teachers’ Day, International Day , New Year’s Day and the words festival, national, international by talking about them between teacher and the class.
2. Teach the new words present, usually, during, mountain and climb and get the class to read them aloud by themselves and then repeat the words two or three times after the teacher. Make sure they pronounce them correctly.
