设计说明 首先,由一幅世界地图和几个问题导入本课主题——世界上讲英语的国家。接着,过渡到对本课生词的学习。然后通过Let’s Do It! No. 1的听力进入对课文的学习:通过阅读判断正误、阅读完成单词、阅读找出重要表达等来学习课文内容,再朗读复述课文。最后,处理其他练习题。课堂教学设计了多种活动和练习,加深了对课文的理解,从而使学生能够掌握本课内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:Africa 接触词汇:Singapore 短语和句型:South Africa, English-speaking countries, all over the world, a list of… 2.能力目标 (1)理解短文,朗读短文; (2)能够谈论世界上讲英语的国家。 3.情感目标 了解讲英语的国家,增进学习英语的兴趣。 重点难点 1. 重点:掌握本课节所学的单词、短语和句型;理解并朗读课文。 2. 难点:能谈论世界上讲英语的国家。 教学准备 PPT 课件;世界地图;与本课节相关的音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Review 1. Homework check. 2. Get the students to talk about the U.K. and Australia. Ask some students to say something about them , such as their capitals, flags and animals. Step 2 Leading in 1. Teacher says: How many country names do you know in English? Get some students to give their answers. And the teacher give more examples. 2. Show a map of the world and ask two questions. Get the students to think and answer them. Questions: In which countries do people speak English? Where are they on the map? Step3 Presentation 1. Get the students to read the new words aloud by themselves. Singapore /sɪŋəˈpɔ:/新加坡(地名) Africa /ˈæfrɪkə/非洲(地名) South Africa 南非(地名) 2.Get the students to repeat the words two or three times after the teacher. Make sure they can pronounce them correctly. 3. Get the students to remember the words. Step 4Listening and judging Get the students to listen and write true (T) or false (F). (Let’s Do It! No. 1) 1. People speak English as their first language in eight countries. ( ) 2. English-speaking countries are all over the world. ( ) 3. Some English-speaking countries are north of China. ( ) 4. Then ask several students to retell the lesson in front of the class. Step8Practice What else do you know about these countries? Choose one to talk about with your partner.

Get the students to read the passage on P124 and find out more countries that have English as an official language. 2. Get the students to work in pairs. Point out Ireland, Philippines, Malta, Ghana, Pakistan, Nigeria, Fiji and Jamaica on a world map and say which countries are close to China and which countries are far away. Step10Summary Sum up the important language points with the class. Step11 Exercises 1. Match the countries with their national symbols and flags. (Let’s Do It! No. 3)
