设计说明

首先用和节日有关的问题帮助学生复习上一节课的内容，同时将万圣节设置在最后一个，为呈现Reading的单词做好准备。继续用学生熟悉的问题即万圣节人们的活动逐一呈现本课的新单词和短语，也帮助学生熟悉课文内容。然后让学生对课文内容进行听力的训练，提几个简单的相关问题，进而让学生对文章结构有一个大概的了解。接下来详读课文，对文章的每一段进行任务型教学，并在此基础上提供关键词，让学生试着去复述课文的每一段，从而形成对节日这个话题的语言基础，这样在接下来接受语言点知识的时候就相对容易了。最后围绕传统节日对学生进行爱国主义教育和尊重传统节日的情感教育。

教学目标

通过本课节的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

掌握词汇：USA, mask, paint, when, inside, paint, pumpkin, lantern, knock, shout, if, treat, trick。

2.能力目标

(1) 学习有关万圣节的知识，初步了解信件的写作格式。

(2) 培养学生的阅读能力。

3.情感目标

爱祖国，更要爱祖国的传统节日和文化。

Step 1 Warming up

Talk about the students’ favourite festivals.

Step 2 Presentation  

1. Ask “What do people do on Halloween?” to present the expressions.

(1) knock 可作不及物动词，意为“敲，击打”，表示“敲门”时，后加介词 on 或 at。

(2) shout可作不及物动词，意为“大声叫喊”，强调声音大。

Don’t shout in the library.图书馆内禁止大声喧哗。

【拓展】shout at sb.意为“冲某人喊叫”，表示生气时对某人大声喊叫。

shout to sb.意为“向某人大喊”，表示由于距离远或声音小听不到而大声喊叫。

6. Usually they give us some candy as a treat.

通常他们用一些糖果招待我们。

give sb. sth. = give sth. to sb. 给某人某物

give sb. sth./sth. to sb. as…给某人某物作为……

The teacher gives us some toys/some toys to us as presents.

老师给我们一些玩具作为礼物。

【注意】give sb. sth.结构中，sb. 和sth. 均为代词时，就只能用give sth. to sb.结构。

7. If they do not give us a treat, we play a trick on them.

如果不招待我们，我们就捉弄他们。

(1)句中if意为“如果”，引导条件状语从句。

【注意】在含有if引导的条件状语从句的主从复合句中，如果主句谓语动词中含有情态动词can，must或主句是祈使句或主句时态为一般将来时，从句常遵循主将从现的原则。

If you don’t work hard, you will fail in the exam.

(2) play a trick/tricks on sb. 戏弄某人

The little boy often plays tricks on his classmates.
