Do you like the food in your school? What’s your favourite food? Why do you like it so much? Step 2 Presentation 1. Present new words by showing some pictures and divide them into different groups: vegetables, fruits, meat, drinks and snacks. Read new words 1 /ˈlaɪfstaɪl/ lifestyle n. 生活方式 2 /ˈhæmbɜːɡə(r)/ hamburger n.汉堡包 3 /kiːp/ keep vt.保持 4 /ˈlemən/ lemon n.柠檬 5 /ˈwɔːtəmelən/ watermelon n.西瓜 6 /ˈtʃɒklət/ chocolate n.巧克力 7 /pɔːk/ pork n.猪肉 8 /snæk/ snack n.小吃,零食 9 /helθ/ health n.健康 2. Ask students to present their favourite food and practise a short passage about their favourite food as a model. Step 4 Acting out 1. Present Millie and Daniel’s dialogue. Compare their diets. 2. Make up a new dialogue like Millie and Daniel’s dialogue. Step 5 Comic strip 1. Present Eddie and Hobo’s dialogue. Further discuss a healthy diet. 2. Act out the dialogue. Step 6 Language points 1.
