设计说明 回顾上一节课的内容,检查学生的掌握情况。通过问答有关写信、笔友的问题导入新课,让学生尽快熟悉本课节话题。呈现生词,扫除语言障碍。对话设置听、读的教学过程,让学生能够听取关键信息,并熟练朗诵。另外,给出笔友信息,让学生为对话中的人物匹配笔友,通过这一活动,锻炼学生解决实际问题的能力。让学生思考他们想知道笔友的哪些情况,让他们积极参与英语活动,并为后面的学习做准备。针对基蒂的清单,让学生用英语正确表达出来,这不仅锻炼学生的理解能力,还能提高他们的表达能力。接下来,再让学生谈论并调研有关笔友的话题,让教学活动更加贴近学生生活。另外,还要对部分知识点进行讲解,让学生稳步掌握英语知识。结合部分题目来让学生查漏补缺。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 学习本课节新词汇:sex, nationality; 能用Would you like to do sth.?句式表达邀请。 2.能力目标 能够听懂有关笔友的情况,能够表达自己想要了解的笔友的情况。 3.情感目标 锻炼学生的甄别能力,并开阔他们的视野。 重点难点 重点:学习本课节新词汇sex, nationality。能用Would you like to do sth.?句式表达邀请。 难点:能够听懂有关笔友的情况,能够表达自己想要了解的笔友的情况。 教学准备 PPT课件;有关笔友、男孩、女孩的图片;活动Listen and say的录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Revision 1. Get the students to talk about the countries that they have visited/read about. Do pair work. —Which country have you visited/read about? —I’ve visited/read about…It’s near/far away from China. 2. Let some pairs talk in front of the class.
Step 2 Warming up 1. Ask the students to ask and answer the following questions. (1) Do you often write letters? (2) Who do you usually write to? (3) Do you have a penfriend? (4) Which country does he/she come from? 2. Select some students to tell us something.
Step 3 Presentation Present the new words: sex, nationality.
I’m a girl. I am a boy. →sex n. 性别 I’m Australian. I’m Canadian. →nationality n. 国籍
Step 4 Listen and say Activity 1 1. Give some time to the students. Let them look at this part. —Would you like to write to a penfriend in another country? What would you like to know about your penfriend? —I’d like to write to a girl. I’d like to know her age and interests. —I’d like to write to a boy. I’d like to know his favourite food. —I’d like to write to a boy. I’d like to know his favourite subjects at school. 2. Play the recording. The students listen. 3. Select groups of four to read the dialogue. Activity 2 1. Show the information of four children.

Step 5 Think and write T: I want to know some things about my penfriend. Here is my list.
T: What about you? 1. Let the students think what they would like to know about their penfriends. 2. Get the students to write down the lists. 3. Select some students to read their lists. Step 6 Look and say T: Kitty has made a list. She wants to know some things about her penfriend. Look and say what she would like to know about her penfriend. You can start like this: Kitty would like to write to a (boy/girl). She would like to know …
Step 7 Write and say Let the students tick the things they want to know about their penfriends and then ask and answer questions with their classmates. S1: What would Kitty like to know about her penfriend? S2: She’d like to know his . S1: What would you like to know about your penfriend? S2: I’d like to know his/her .
Step 8 A survey 1. Let the students write down what they would like to know about their teacher.

Step 9 Language points 1.Would you like to write to a penfriend in another country? 你想要写信给另一个国家的笔友吗? (1)Would you like to do sth.?你愿意做某事吗? 常用于征求意见、发出邀请。肯定回答有: Yes, I’d like/love to. 否定回答有:I’d love to, but I…。would like相当于want,语气比want委婉。 —Would you like to go to the movies with us? 你愿意和我们去看电影吗? —Yes, I’d like/love to.是的,我想去。 —Would you like to go shopping tonight?你愿意今晚去购物吗? —I’d love to, but I have to look after my sister. 我想去,不过我要照顾我妹妹。 (2)write to给……写信 与write a letter to同义。 Write to me as soon as you get there. = Write a letter to me as soon as you get there. 你一到那儿就给我写信。 2.
