设计说明 呈现本发生交通事故的图片,让学生表演这个短剧,回顾上一节课所学的内容,提高学生的参与度,激发学生的表现力。让学生结对练习交流上学途中的所见所闻,由此导入新课。通过听、读短文,并结合课文回答问题以及提炼信息填写表格等,让学生对课文部分有更加深入的了解。让学生想想他们在上学路上见到的人,并写下来,达到让学生自主表达、灵活运用语言的目的。对本课节出现的难点进行讲解,增加学生的语言储备。最后,在当堂达标环节,设置适量题目,检测学生的掌握情况。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 能够用一般现在时描述习惯性的动作。 2.能力目标 能够读懂有关生活中的所见所闻的文章;能够描述人们经常做的事情。 3.情感目标 培养学生热爱劳动、勤奋上进的人生态度。 重点难点 重点:能够用一般现在时描述习惯性的动作。 难点:能够读懂有关生活中的所见所闻的文章;能够描述人们经常做的事情。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Read的录音;有关本的交通事故的图片 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Revision Present some pictures about Ben’s accident. Ask the students to act out the short play.
Step 2 Talk 1. Let the students work in groups and talk about the following questions. (1) What do you see on your way to school? (2) Do you see anybody working? Who are they? (3) What are they doing? 2. Get some groups to select a representative and talk in front of the class.
Step 3 Listen and read 1. Give the students time to read the text silently and look at the pictures on page 32. 2. Play the recording. Let the students follow in their books. 3. Select individual students to read a paragraph each.
Step 4 Read and answer 1. Ask the students to read the text again. Find the answers to the following questions. (1) What do the street cleaners do? (2) Do the street cleaners start work early or late? (3) What does Mr Ma sell? (4) What does Mrs Liang sell? (5) Where does Mrs Hu buy her flowers? 2. Elicit the answers. Answers: (1) They clean the streets, collect rubbish and empty the rubbish bins. (2) They start work early. (3) He sells bread and cakes. (4) She sells newspapers. (5) She buys her flowers at the flower market.
Step 5 Recite Give the students some tips to help them recite the story.
Step 6 Write 1. Let the students complete the table about the people Tom sees on his way to school.
2. Check the answers together. Answers: (1) They sweep the streets and collect rubbish. They empty the rubbish bins. (2) He bakes bread and cakes. (3) She sells newspapers. (4) She sells flowers.
Step 7 Think and write 1. Ask the students to think about the people they see on their way to school. 2. Let the students draw some pictures to help them. 3. Write sentences to describe the pictures. 4. Select some students to show their pictures and read sentences about them.
Step 8 Language points 1. Every morning, Tom sees a lot of people on his way to school. 每天早上,汤姆在去学校的路上看到很多人。 on one’s/the way to…在(某人)去……的路上 其中,to是介词,后面接表示地点的名词,若接表示地点的here, there, home等副词,要省略介词to。one’s用形容词性物主代词,必须与主语保持一致。 On my way to school, I found a dog.在我去学校的路上,我发现了一条狗。 On his way home, he lost his money.在他回家的路上,他丢了钱。 2. He sees the street cleaners cleaning the streets. 他看见清洁工人正在清扫街道。 see sb. doing sth.看到某人正在做某事 强调看见的动作正在进行。 While I was crossing the street, I saw a boy running towards me. 我过马路时,看见一个男孩朝着我跑过来。 【拓展】see sb. do sth.看到某人做某事 强调看见某人做某事的整个过程或看见某人经常做某事。 I see Linda go to school by bike every day. 我看到琳达每天骑自行车上学。 3. They also empty the rubbish bins.他们还清空垃圾箱。 empty ①〔动词〕倒空;腾空 Please empty the box for me. 请给我把箱子倒空。 ②〔形容词〕空的 There is nothing in the room. It’s empty.房间里什么也没有。是空的。
Step 9 Homework 1. Review this Unit. 2. Complete the exercises in Workbook 7A on page 25. 3. Preview the new words and phrases in Unit 5.
