Unit 3 A day out Reading
设计说明 首先通过询问学生在北京世界公园看到什么导入新课,然后学习本部分的新单词,学会用一些单词和短语来描述看到的风景,通过略读文章及一系列问题的设置,让学生逐步了解并熟悉文章,让大家对这个话题产生兴趣。最后巩固复习本课时的知识点。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:fine, join, myself, shine, clear, sky, journey, boring, finally, arrive, arrive at/in, can’t wait, get off, interest, place of interest, not believe one’s eyes, main, sights, culture, Internet, page, home page, yourselves, themselves, by oneself 2.能力目标 (1)通过听说训练,学会游记文章的阅读技巧——浏览和略读。 (2)通过听说训练,激发学生对本单元的兴趣,培养学生的听说能力。 3.情感目标 引导学生通过了解国内外的名胜古迹,培养热爱自然和人文景观的情感态度。 重点难点 重点:学习描述名胜古迹的单词和短语,并能灵活使用 难点:灵活使用生词和短语 教学准备 PPT课件;相关图片 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in By looking at some pictures and saying where the places are to review the contents learned last period and lead in the new lesson. Then show them some more pictures and encourage them to say what they can see in the World Park: model Eiffel Tower, model Pyramids, model Golden Gate Bridge, model Big Ben, model Leaning Tower and so on. Step 2 Learn new words 1. Show the students all the new words of this lesson and get them to learn them: fine, join, myself, shine, clear, sky, journey, boring, finally, arrive, arrive at/in, can’t wait, get off, interest, place of interest, not believe one’s eyes, main, sights, culture, Internet, page, home page, yourselves, themselves, by oneself 2. Show them some pictures and present some new words. (1) journey n. (2) boring adj. (3) arrive vi. arrive at / in = get to (4) get off (5) not believe one’s eyes =be very surprised (6) can’t wait to do sth. (7) shine vi. shining, shiny (8) sky n. (9) clear adj. clearly adv. 3. Deal with B1 on Page 33. Because they saw the main sights of the world in just one day. 2. Scanning Let students read Paragraphs 1-2 and fill in the table. Then check the answers.
3. Skimming Let students skim Paragraphs 3-5 and answer the questions: What did Linda see in the World Park? How were they? Yesterday Kitty’s teacher Mr Wu invited me to join their school trip to the World Park. invite v. 邀请 invite sb. to do sth. 邀请某人做某事 invite sb. to sp. 邀请某人去某地 We invited him to our house for a drink. 我们邀请他到我们家喝酒。 He invited me to have coffee tonight. 他邀请我今晚去喝咖啡。 2. It was a fine warm day. The sun was shining in a clear blue sky. 当两个或者两个以上的形容词放在一个名词前作定语时,其顺序为: 限(县)、官、形(行)、龄(令)、色、国、料。 “形”(形状、大小); a small round table 一张小圆桌 3. It took us about two hours to get there by bus. (1) It takes sb. some time to do sth. 某人花了……时间做某事。 It takes me quite a long time to understand the sentence. 我花了相当长的时间来理解这个句子。 (2)by bus乘公共汽车 They can go there by bus. 他们可以坐公共汽车去那儿。 4. We finally arrived at the park. arrive表示“到达某地”时,后面要接介词,到达的地方范围较大时多用in;地方较小时多用at。 We arrived in Paris. 我们到达了巴黎。 We arrived at the station. 我们到达了车站。 5. All of us couldn’t wait to get off the bus. (1)固定搭配 can’t wait to do sth.表示对即将发生的事感到兴奋和迫不及待,意为“迫不及待地要做某事”。 When I looked at the photo, I couldn’t wait to see him. 当我看见照片的时候,我迫不及待地想要见到他。 (2)固定短语 get off 意为“下 (车)”,get on 则指“上 (车)”。 We saw a man get off the bus just now. 我们刚才看见一个男人从公共汽车上下来了。 Here comes the bus. Let’s get on. 公共汽车来了,咱们上去吧。 【拓展】 off与动词构成的固定搭配很多,常见的有:take off 脱下(服装),(飞机)起飞;turn off 关闭(电器);put off 推迟(会议、事情等)。 The plane will take off in a minute. 飞机将在一分钟后起飞。 Turn off the lights when you leave the classroom. 离开教室的时候,关上电灯。 6. There are models of more than a hundred places of interest from all over the world. (1)interest 作名词,意为“令人感兴趣的事(或人);兴趣,爱好”。 place of interest表示“名胜,景点”;show/have/take an interest in (doing) sth.表示“对(做)某事感兴趣”。 Both swimming and stamp collecting are his interests. 游泳与集邮都是他的爱好。 Last month, my father took me to many places of interest in Jiangsu. 上个月,父亲带我去游览了江苏的许多名胜。 Wang Bin shows a great interest in this subject. 王斌对这门学科很感兴趣。 (2) interest作动词,意为“使……感兴趣”。 Music interests her more than painting. 她对音乐要比对绘画感兴趣的多。 【拓展】 ①interesting作形容词,意为“有趣的,引起兴趣的”,表示事物本身具有使某人发生兴趣,引起人们注意之处。 Can’t we do something more interesting? 我们就不能做点儿更有趣的事情吗? ②interested作形容词,意为“感兴趣的”,常用于sb. is interested in sth. 结构,意为“某人对……感兴趣”。 I’m very interested in history. 我对历史很感兴趣。 7.
