    设计说明

    首先通过复习Reading来导入新课,用课文中的ifunless句型来引出本单元的语法,即ifunless 的用法。通过一系列的讲解和练习,学生掌握ifunless引导的条件状语从句的用法,尤其要强调从句的时态,学会用这两个连词来构成语句,表达自己的想法

    教学目标

    通过本课时的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握单词短语:attack, polar bear, male, studio, minibus

    2.能力目标

    1掌握连词ifunless引导的条件状语从句;

    2)学会用条件状语从句来表达思想,培养写作能力。

    3.情感目标

    培养学生懂得亲近大自然,爱护动物。

    重点难点

    重点:生词和短语;ifunless引导的条件状语从句。

    Step 1  Lead-in

    1. Revise Reading and talk about the four TV programmes.

     

     

     

     

    2. Think it over.

    If you are a football fan, you _____________.

    If you enjoy solving mysteries, you ____________.

    If you are an animal-lover, you ______________.

    If you send text messages to 1396 while watching Beijing Music Awards, you ______________.

    Any answer is possible.

    Step 2  Grammar A  

    1. Show them the sentences with if. Explain the usage of if and the clause, especially the tense.  

    If-clause

    (simple present tense)

    Main clause

    (will/may/might/+infinitive)

    If you are a football fan,

    you will not want to miss this week’s programme.

    If you are an animal-lover,

    you may feel sad about it.

    If you enjoy solving mysteries,

    you might like this film.

    TIP: We put a comma after the if-clause when it is the first part of a sentence.

    2. Have a free talk. In this way, the students can practice in pairs.

    A: What will you do if you have a lot of money?

    B: If I have a lot of money, I will …

    3. Do A1. Choose the right tense. Read and understand the sentences.

    1 If I _________ (go, will go) to the Reading Club this afternoon, I ________

    (do not have, may not have) any time to watch TV.

    2 If Simon __________ (gets, will get) home too late, he ________ (misses, will miss) his favourite cartoon.

    3 If Amy _________ (completes, will complete) all her homework quickly,  she ___________ (watches, will watch) the chat show.

    4. Do A2. Fill in the blanks and practice the dialogue in pairs. Give them some additional explanation, especially some new words and phrases.

    TIP: We dont use a comma if the main clause comes first.

    1if引导的条件状语从句用于表示假设的情况可能发生,其中if如果的意思。

    2用法:(注意时态搭配)

    if引导的条件状语从句

    主句

    一般现在时

    (动词用原形或第三人称单数)

    ①一般将来时

    ②情态动词 + 动词原形

    ③祈使句

    Step 3  Grammar B

    1. Show the sentence “She will listen to music if she doesn’t have housework to do.” and change it into the sentenceShe will listen to music unless she has housework to do.

    1We can use unless to say that something can only happen or be true in a particular situation. Sometimes we can use if ... not to replace unless.

    The situation will continue unless humans stop hunting them for their fur and bones.

    → The situation will continue if humans do not stop hunting them for their fur and bones.

    Unless it rains tomorrow, we are going to play football in the park.

    If it does not rain tomorrow, we are going to play football in the park.

    2The unless-clause can come first or after the main clause.

    Unless you try your best, you will not realize your dream.

    You will be late unless you leave right now.

    2. Do the exercise on P86. Match the two parts of the sentences. Read the sentences and stress the key points.

    1 Unless the weather report says it is going to rain,

    2 We will arrive at the studio around 9:30 a.m.

    3 Unless you already know the studio very well,

    4 You will buy your lunch at the restaurants in the studio

    5 Unless you are tired,

    6 You will have a chance to see how a TV programme is recorded

    a unless you take your own food with you.

    3. Work out the rule and stress the tense.

    unless 引导的条件状语从句

    unless引导条件状语从句,意为 除非……如果……不”。

    1unless从句可以放在句首,也可位于主句之后。

    2unless 可以与if…not 互换。

    3)时态搭配同 if 引导的条件状语从句。

    Step 4  Language points

    unless you have little interest in it. ……除非你对它几乎没有兴趣。

    have interest in sth./doing sth. 意为“对……有兴趣”,相当于show (an) interest in sth.be interested in sth.

    He had much interest in playing the piano when he was very young.

    =He became /was much interested in playing the piano when he was very young.

    =He showed a great interest in playing the piano when he was very young.

    他很小的时候就对弹钢琴感兴趣。

    Step 5  Homework

    1. Revise Grammar and finish the exercises.

    2. Preview Integrated skills. Preview the words and read through the notes.
