设计说明 首先,通过单元末的歌曲导入新课,接着,复习本单元的新学单词和短语,通过填空练习让学生掌握本单元单词的相关词形变化。然后,讲解before, after和as引导的时间状语从句以及that和who引导的定语从句,并处理教材中相应的练习。接着是听说训练。之后根据所给的居里夫人的材料,运用本单元所学句子组织对话,进行口语训练,达到学以致用的目的。最后,处理自我检测和当堂达标。整个设计遵循“单词—短语--语法”的顺序进行,讲练结合,并把听说融入其中,以此来实现提升学生语言综合运用能力的目的。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 (1)复习本单元所学单词、短语和句型。 (2)掌握before,after,as引导状语从句和that, who引导定语从句的用法。 (3)完成本课节的相关练习。 2.能力目标 (1)能够听懂关于伟人的对话 (2)能够根据伟人的档案编写对话 (3)能够读懂关于伟人的文章 3.情感目标 向成功的人学习;向伟人致敬。 重点难点 1. 重点:before,after,as引导状语从句和that, who引导定语从句的用法 2. 难点:能够根据档案信息编写对话;that, who引导定语从句的用法 教学准备 PPT课件;相关音频 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Play the song: Make the World a Better Place You can make the world,

Answers: 1. northern 2. meaning 3. decision 4. centuries 5. produced 6. leader Step 4 Grammar 一、before, after和as引导的时间状语从句 状语从句根据它表达的意思可分为时间、原因、条件、结果、目的、让步、比较、方式和地点状语从句等。本单元主要学习before, after和as引导的时间状语从句。 I will finish my homework before my teacher comes here. 在老师来这儿之前,我会完成我的家庭作业。 2. as意为“当……时;一边……一边……”,引导的时间状语从句强调主句的动作与从句的动作同时发生。 As she was dancing, she was singing. 她边跳舞边唱歌。 注意: 当主句表示将来的意义时, after, as soon as, before, till, until 和when 等引导的时间状语从句常用一般现在时表示将来。 I’ll tell her about the matter as soon as she returns home. 她一回家,我就把这件事告诉她。 二、that和who引导的定语从句 在复合句中,修饰名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。 被定语从句修饰的词叫先行词。引导定语从句的词叫关系词。常见的关系词有关系代词 that, which, who, whom, whose 和关系副词where, when, why等。 1. that引导的定语从句 that既可指有生命的动物或人,也可指无生命的事物,在定语从句中可以充当主语或宾语。 (1) 指人, 在定语从句中作主语或宾语 The girl that you talked to is my sister. 跟你说话的那个女孩是我妹妹。 (2) 指物,在定语从句中作主语或宾语 The restaurant that was opened last week was popular. 上周开业的那家饭店很受欢迎。 2. who引导的定语从句 如果先行词是人, 那么定语从句的关系词可用who。who可在定语从句中作主语或宾语。作宾语时也可用who的宾格形式 whom。 Is that the actor who/whom you talked about? 那是你们谈论的演员吗? A: What’s the cause of her death? B: She died of radiation poisoning. Step 7 Speaking 1. Get the students to read the material based on Marie Curie’s File on Page 31.
2. Ask the students to make up a dialogue with their partners based on the material. 3. They can make up their dialogues with the help of the following questions. What is her name? When and where was she born? What are her achievements? 4. Choose some pairs to show their dialogues. Step 8 Reading 1. Get the students to read the passage and write true (T) or false (F).
