设计说明 给出部分提示信息,让学生复述Lesson 13的事故,借此复习所学内容。让学生积极思考过马路要注意什么以及遇到事故如何应对,由此导入新课。 借助图片和句子语境,呈现本课生词短语,并让学生熟记。课文学习可以设置多种形式,如听后完成句子,读后回答问题,读后翻译短语,读后匹配、读后完成语篇概述等,通过自读自悟,学会独立解决问题。完成有关Let’s Do It! No. 2的练习,让学生巩固几个重要单词的用法。接下来,设置小组表演事故的活动:选择事故类别,分配事故中的角色,构思事故中的对话,最后再把它表演出来。借此让学生充分发挥创造力,在交流合作中不断探索和学习。最后,再让学生写一份有关事故的报道,此时应给予必要的提示和指导。对本课的重难知识点进行讲解,帮助学生解决学习过程中的疑惑。通过当堂达标检测所学知识点,便于学生查漏补缺。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握单词:town, ugly, shoulder, wound, expect 接触单词:accident, reporter, roll, fault, icy, recover 短语:in time, run after, jump out 句型:We didn’ t want to be late for practice. Ann dropped her basketball, and it rolled onto the street. I wanted to stop her from running after the ball, but she didn’t hear me. After the accident, the car stopped, and the driver, Bill Morin, jumped out. Doctors say she can expect to return to school in about a week. 2. 能力目标 (1)能够听懂有关突发事故的报道; (2)能够全方位报道突发事故。 3. 情感目标 注意出行安全,遵守交通规则。面对突发事故,学生能够冷静处理,及时报警。 重点难点 1. 重点:本课节重点单词、短语、句型。 2. 难点:能够听懂并全方位报道突发事故。 教学准备 PPT 课件;有关生词短语讲解的图片;与本课节相关的音频文件。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Revision Use the given information to retell the accident happened in Lesson 13. Students should use their own language.
Step 2 Thinking about it What do you need to do when you cross the street? What should you do when you see someone badly hurt in an accident? Let some students share their opinions in front of the class. Step 3 Presentation Teach the new words and phrases accident, town, reporter, roll, fault, icy, ugly, shoulder, wound, recover, expect, in time, run after and jump out.

Ask them to discuss and decide on an accident to present in their role-play. First, the group will need to decide what roles need to be played and assign roles to their members. For example, in a motorbike accident, the five roles might be two victims, a witness, a doctor and a reporter. 3. Ask questions to help them make up their dialogues. 4. Get some groups to share their dialogues in front of the class. Step 7 Project Report on an accident If you are a reporter and you are reporting an accident, what are you going to write? You can answer these questions: When and where did the accident happen? How did the accident happen? Who was the victim? Who was there when the accident happened? Did they help? How did the doctor save the victim? What was the result of the accident? You can interview these people: the victim the witness the doctor Step 8 Language points 1. We were in a hurry... 我们很匆忙…… in a hurry匆忙 其中的hurry为名词,意为“匆忙”。 We were in a hurry so we had a quick breakfast. 我们很匆忙,所以早餐吃得快。 【拓展】 (1) hurry动词,意为“赶紧,匆忙”。常用短语hurry up“赶紧;快点儿”。 Hurry up! You're so slow. 快点!你可真慢。 (2) 表示“匆忙做某事”可用be in a hurry to do sth.,hurry to do sth.,do sth. in a hurry。 2. And the street was icy—the car couldn’t stop in time. 街面有冰——汽车没能及时停住。 in time及时 表示情况恰到好处。 We managed to get to the airport in time. 我们设法及时赶到了机场。 【拓展】on time准时 Don't worry. She'll be on time. 别担心。她会准时的。 3. I wanted to stop her from running after the ball, but she didn’t hear me. 我想阻止她追球,但她没听见我的喊声。 (1) stop sb. from doing sth.阻止某人做某事 相当于keep sb. from doing sth.或prevent sb. from doing sth.。其中keep短语中的from不可省略,其余两个短语中的from可省略。 We should stop people (from) cutting down trees. 我们应该阻止人们砍树。 (2) run after追赶,追逐 后面跟宾语。 The black dog did not run after me. 那只黑狗没有追着我跑。 4. Ann has a broken leg and an ugly shoulder wound. 安断了一条腿,肩膀上还有一处难看的伤口。 wound可数名词,意为“伤口,伤”。常指身体上的伤、武器造成的伤,也可指心灵上的创伤。 How deep is the wound? 伤口有多深? 【拓展】 wound动词,意为“使(身体)受伤;伤害”。 He was wounded in the arm.他的手臂受过伤。 5.
