Lesson 24: Writing a Poem
设计说明 首先,让学生欣赏一首幽默的小诗,并为一首小诗拟一个题目,由此导入本节课的学习。 通过一首英文诗歌和一篇英文故事的样例,引导学生思考两者的区别,然后以思维导图的形式,告诉学生这两者的区别,为学习课文做好铺垫。 对课文的学习,先让学生随着录音朗读课文,然后,点拨一下must的用法,接下来,通过阅读课文并判断正误来加深对课文的掌握,最后总结一下课文里面出现的单词、短语和句式。 在学习完课文后,设置填写押韵的单词的游戏,调动学生学习兴趣的同时,也使学生更好地掌握诗歌的押韵规则。 最后,完成本课Let’s Do It! No.2的练习,并完成PROJECT部分。通过押韵单词的游戏和PROJECT部分,学生能较好地明白怎样写一首小诗,在此基础上,布置学生写一首小诗作为家庭作业。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:humorous 接触单词:fairy, tale, character, plot 短语:fairy tale 2.能力目标 能够读懂并写一首幽默的小诗。 3.情感目标 感受诗歌之美,热爱文学。 重点难点 1. 重点:掌握本课节的重点单词、短语和句型。 2. 难点:读懂并写一首幽默的小诗。 教学准备 PPT课件;课文朗读的音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up & Leading-in 1. Enjoy a poem: Students Busy bees, Listening, reading, writing, We all work hard. Hope. 2. Give a title to the following poem. One possible answer: Mother Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Show the students a short English poem and part of an English story.
2. Ask the students the following question: What’s the difference between a poem and a story? 3. Let some students give their answers and then tell them the difference between a poem and a story.
4. Ask the students the following question: Which do you prefer to write, poems or stories? Step 3 Reading 1. Ask the students to read the passage following the recording. 2. Explain the usage of “must” to the students. 3. Read the lesson and write true (T) or false (F). (Let’s Do It! No. 1) (1) Danny learned how to write songs last week. ( ) (2) Danny likes reading stories. ( ) (3) Danny thinks stories are easier to write. ( ) Answers: (1) F (2) T (3) F 4. Summarize the words, phrases and patterns of this passage.

At the beginning, I was afraid to try writing a poem. 起初,我不敢尝试写诗歌。 at the beginning开始时;起初,at也可以换成in。 They were cheerful at/in the beginning. 开始时,他们情绪高涨。 【注意】后接of短语时,只能用at the beginning。 A policeman stood at the beginning of the street. 一位警察站在街道的起点处。 2. Then my teacher encouraged me to write a humorous poem because I am always saying funny things. 后来,老师鼓励我写幽默的诗,因为我总是说一些有趣的事情。 (1)humorous形容词,幽默的;诙谐的 副词:humorously 幽默地 名词:humor 幽默(感) While watching the film yesterday, I couldn’t stop laughing at some humorous moments. 昨天在看电影时,在一些幽默的时刻,我笑得停不下来。 (2)be always doing sth. 总是做某事,表示某种思想、情绪或行为反复发生,且含有不满、厌恶、烦躁、感叹等感情色彩。 You are always asking questions! 你怎么总是问问题!
