Lesson 12: Guess My Hero!
设计说明 首先,通过询问学生心目中的英雄来导入课堂,让学生分享关于自己心目中英雄的情况和故事,并结对进行会话操练,接下来,向学生展示几个英雄的图片,并介绍他们的故事。教授本课节的生词,播放生词的录音,让学生学会标准发音,让学生完成纵横字谜,进一步熟悉本课节生词的拼写。播放课文录音,让学生学会标准读音,并尽量模仿录音中的语音及语调进行朗读,提升口语水平和朗读的流利度。再通过设置与课文相关的阅读任务,巩固和提高学生阅读理解和准确捕捉信息的能力。接下来,向学生展示一些当今英雄的相关图片并简短介绍图片背后的故事,对学生进行思想品德教育,让他们明白,人人都可以成为英雄。最后,进行写作训练,让学生写一篇关于自己心目中英雄的短文,利用所写短文中的词语设置成纵横字谜,提升语言综合运用的能力,增加学习英语的趣味性并激发学生学习英语的兴趣。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:crossword, puzzle, based, whom, anybody, chemistry, 短语:based on 2.能力目标 能够谈论自己心目中英雄的相关情况。 3.情感目标 了解英雄的事迹,培养刻苦努力、积极向上的优秀品质。 重点难点 1. 重点:学习本课节新词汇及重要表达,熟悉书信的格式。 2. 难点:能够读懂有关英雄的文章,能够描述出自己心目中的英雄。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Read的录音。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Ask the students the questions: Who is your hero? Where is your hero from? Why is he/she a hero? 2. Choose some students to answer and explain their reasons.
3. Ask the students to talk about their heroes in pairs. 4. Show some pictures of heroes to the students and tell some moving stories of them.

He said that the person’s favourite food was donuts. 4. Five minutes. 5. Let the students read the article on Page 28 again and find out some key sentences and phrases. 6. Ask the students to find some difficult language points. 7. Let the students have a discussion about these difficult language points in groups of four. 8. Help the students explain these difficult language points. Step 5 Practice (Let’s Do It! No. 2) 1. Get the students to do Exercise 2 on Page 29. (1) First, look at the given words. (2) Then, fill in the blanks. 1. A: For _______ is this book written? B: It’s written for young kids. 2. The ____________ is making great efforts to help people live better. 3. Show the students some pictures of nowadays’ heroes. Give brief introduction of each picture and tell them everyone can be a hero.

Let the students make their dialogues in pairs. 4. Choose some pairs to read their dialogues in front of the class. Step 7 Writing 1. Ask the students to write a short paragraph about their heroes. They can arrange their writings according to the following form.
2. Let the students use the words from their paragraphs to make crossword puzzles. 3. Give them Li Ming’s puzzle as an example. 4. Choose some students to show their writings and crossword puzzles. 5. Ask other students to solve the crossword puzzles. 6. Let them show the right answers to the crossword puzzles. Step 8 Language points 1. On Monday, Ms. Liu asked us to make crossword puzzles based on facts about our heroes. 星期一,刘老师让我们做以我们的偶像的事迹为根据的纵横字谜游戏。 (be) based on 以……为基础/根据 on是介词,后面接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。 Her success is based on hard work. 她的成功基于勤奋工作。 I like the novel based on a real story. 我喜欢那部基于一个真实故事的小说。 2. But whom should my puzzle be about? 但是我的字谜应该是关于谁呢? whom pron. 谁 在句中作动词或介词的宾语。 whom 是疑问代词who 的宾格形式。当whom位于句首,不与介词连用时,通常可以用 who替代,但位于介词之后时,必须用 whom。 Who/Whom will you go there with? 你会和谁去那儿? To whom did your father talk just now? 你爸爸刚才跟谁交谈了? 3. My hero wouldn’t be anybody famous. 我的偶像不会是任何一位名人。 anybody pron. 任何人 anybody通常用于否定句或疑问句中。 There is not anybody in that room. 那个房间里没有人。 Does anybody else know it? 还有其他人知道吗? Step 9 Homework 1.
