设计说明 首先,通过引导学生思考关于好朋友的一些问题来引入本课话题。其次,在结合图片语境学习完本课生词短语后,通过听让学生了解课文大体内容,并结合设置的问题引导学生分段落细读文章,之后根据整篇文章内容完成短文填空练习,同时提炼出重要短语进行巩固。再次,完成Let’s Do It! No. 3的练习,让学生发表他们对好朋友的看法并积累一些关于友谊的谚语。然后,讲解课文中的一些重要知识点并重点讲解关于简单句的五种基本句型的语法知识。最后,通过设置的当堂达标的题目检测学生的课堂学习效果。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:copy, surprise, lend, enemy, deal 接触单词:Patrick, Grant, pea, pod, angrily, cheat, following, gym, embarrassed 短语:two peas in a pod, spend…(in) doing …, to one’s surprise, make a deal 句型:One day, the two best friends stopped talking to each other. That way, he could spend more time playing basketball. 2.能力目标 (1) 掌握简单句的句子结构; (2) 能用英语谈论关于友谊的话题。 3.情感目标 能正确处理和朋友的关系。 重点难点 1.重点:掌握本课节的单词和短语。 2.难点:掌握简单句的句子结构;能用英语谈论关于友谊的话题。 教学准备 PPT 课件;本课节用到的录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Lead students to think about the following questions: Who is your best friend? What do you like about him/her? Did you ever argue with your best friend? Why? Step 2 Presentation 1. Learn about the main new words and expressions of the lesson with the help of pictures and sentences.
2.Lead students to read all the new words aloud for many times to make sure they can read and recognize them. pea ·豌豆 pod ·豆荚 copy ·抄写;复制;复制品 cheat ·作弊;欺骗 deal ·交易;处理;应付 surprise ·意想不到的事;使惊奇 lend ·借给(某人钱或东西);借出 following ·接下来的;接着的 gym ·体育馆;健身房 enemy ·敌人;仇人 angrily ·愤怒地;生气地 embarrassed ·尴尬的;窘迫的 Step 3 Pre-listening Ask students to look at the two pictures on Page 8 and guess what happened to them. Then let some students speak out their ideas.

1. They parted and went their own ways. 2. They stopped talking to each other. 3. The two boys saw each other at the school gym. 4. Patrick and Grant are best friends. They are like “two peas in a pod” . 5. They made a deal. They would do their homework first and play basketball later. The correct order is: 4,2,1,3,5 2. Listen to the radio again and let students check their answers. 3. Check the answers with students and let them read the sentences in the correct order. Step 5 Reading 1. Ask students to read the lesson and answer the questions on Page 9 Let’s Do It No. 2 one by one. 2. Lead students to read Paragraph 1 and answer the first question. Then speak out the evidence in the text. 1. What did Grant like to play after class? Answers: He liked to play basketball after class. Evidence:
Patrick and Grant are best friends. They are like “two peas in a pod”. One day, the two best friends stopped talking to each other. Why? Grant wanted to copy Patrick’s homework. That way, he could spend more time playing basketball. But to his surprise. Patrick didn’t agree. 3. Lead students to read Paragraphs 2~5 and answer the second question. Then speak out the evidence in the text. 2. Why did the two boys stop talking to each other? Answers: They got angry with each other. Evidence: “No way! I can’t help you like that,” said Patrick. “What a friend!” Grant said angrily. Patrick felt awful. He said, “ I won’t lend you my homework. Friends don’t help each other like that . That’s cheating!” That afternoon, they parted and went their own ways. In the following days, they both felt bad. 4. Lead students to read Paragraphs 6~7 and answer the third question. Then speak out the evidence in the text. 3. What made the two boys become friends again? Answer: A basketball game./Understanding and being open-hearted to each other. Evidence: A few days later, there was a school basketball game. Patrick went to the gym to watch it. Grant was there, too. At the end of the game, the two friends looked at each other. Grant immediately came over and held out his hand. He wanted to say something, but he felt embarrassed. Patrick smiled and said, “Good friends don’t have to say sorry. They just know it. I want to be your friend, not your enemy.” 5. Lead students to read Paragraph 8 and answer the last question. Then speak out the evidence in the text. 4. What agreement did the two boys make? A friend is easier lost than found. Step 9 Language points 1. My brother lent me his bike yesterday. =My brother lent his bike to me yesterday. 昨天我哥哥把他的自行车借给了我。 【拓展】borrow v. 借来 borrow sth. from sb. 从某人处借用某物 I borrowed a bike from my brother yesterday. 昨天我从我哥哥那里借了一辆自行车。
Step 10 Learning Tip 1. Show some simple sentences. A simple sentence contains only one independent clause. Look at these: …Patrick didn’t agree. ( Subject + Intransitive Verb) …the two boys made a deal. ( Subject + Transitive Verb+ Object ) Patrick felt awful. ( Subject +Link verb + Predicative) I won’t lend you my homework. (Subject+ Verb + Indirect Object + Direct Object) 2.Teach students the five basic types of simple sentences. (1)主语+谓语 They laughed. The students are singing. (2)主语+谓语+宾语 I like English. Jenny is reading a book. (3)主语+系动词+表语 Ms. Liu is kind and patient. Jenny looks very happy. The days get longer in spring. 常用的系动词有:be, become, turn, look, feel, smell, taste, sound, get等。 (4)主语+谓语+间接宾语+直接宾语(双宾语) Lily gave Tom a yo-yo ball.= Lily gave a yo-yo ball to Tom. My mother bought me a pair of jeans. = My mother bought a pair of jeans for me. 常见跟双宾语结构的动词有:give, show, bring, pass, lend, send, make, buy, get等。 (5)主语+谓语+宾语+补语 We call her Beibei. I found the boy very clever. He saw a little girl dancing under a tree. 宾语补足语通常紧跟在宾语之后,对宾语进行补充说明。充当宾语补足语的可以是名词、形容词、副词、分词、不定式和介词短语等。 3. Show some sentences and let students say the types of the sentences. (1) The children are playing soccer. (2) He found his new job interesting. (3) The boy’s face turned red.
