    设计说明

    通过谈论最喜欢的学科,导入本课时的学习。通过听力训练,让学生大体了解对话内容;通过阅读对话,找出生词和短语,帮助学生解决语言障碍;通过让学生完成Let’s Do It!的阅读任务,帮助学生掌握课文内容。让学生先描述刘一老师的日程表,再描述自己的日常表,由此,对学生进行针对性的写作训练,最终达到学以致用的目的。通过语言点的讲解,帮助学生解决课文中的疑惑和重难点。最后,通过当堂达标训练,让学生自测本课节掌握的情况,便于查漏补缺。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1. 知识目标

    掌握单词:since, poor, cough, because, seem

    接触单词:convenient

    短语:miss class/school, have a cough, not… at all, be convenient for

    2. 能力目标

    能用英语谈论自己所喜欢的科目。

    3. 情感目标

    在交谈中相互了解、相互帮助,并能给他人提出合理化的建议。

    1. 重点掌握本课节的单词、短语和句型。

    What’s the most interesting thing about your favourite subject?

    Step 2  Listening and reading

    Listening

    1. What are Wang Mei and Li Lin talking about? Listen and tick the correct answers.

    They are talking about Li Lin’s health.

    They are talking about Li Lin’s favourite subject.

    They are talking about helping each other in their studies.

    They are talking about some school activities.

    2. Check the answers.

    Answers:

    Task 1

    1. Read the conversation and find out the new words and expressions of this lesson.

    Ask the students to act out the conversation in pairs and then perform it in front of the class.

    Step 3  Writing

    1. Liu Yi is a busy teacher. Look at her schedule and write about her day.

    Then present it to the class.

    Example: It’s 6 o’clock. It’s time for Liu Yi to get up…

    2. Ask the students to create a schedule that they enjoy. And then write about their own day.

    Example: I get up at 6: 00 every morning. And then I have breakfast at 6: 30. I go to school by bus. It takes me about thirty minutes to get there

    Step 4  Language points

    1. I haven’t seen you since Tuesday, Li Lin.自从星期二我就没有看见你,李琳。

    I have been there many times since 2018. 2018年以来,我曾多次去那儿。

    (since后接时间点时,句子用现在完成时,谓语动词多是延续性动词)

    What have you been doing since I last saw you?自我上次和你见面以后,你在做什么?

    (“since + 时间状语从句, 主句用现在完成时,谓语动词多是延续性动词。从句用一般过去时,谓语动词多是非延续性动词

    Since you are busy, I will ask someone else instead. 既然你很忙,我去问别人吧。(since引导原因状语从句)

    2. What’s the matter? 怎么了?

    What’s the matter(with…)?常用于询问某人的情况,类似的表达还有:

    What’s wrong (with you)?

    What’s the trouble (with you)?

    Is there anything wrong with your…?

    What’s up?

    What happened ( to you )?

    3. I had to miss school. 我不得不耽误上学。

    1have to  不得不,后接动词原形,表示客观上的需要,可以用于多种时态。

    I had to tell him about the bad news.

    我不得不把这个坏消息告诉他。

    I think he may have to help his dad in the garden.

    我想他可能不得不在花园里帮他爸爸。

    She doesn’t have to worry about that.

    她没有必要担心那件事。

    2miss 动词  错过;未击中;未得到;发觉丢失;想念

    I was late because I missed the bus.

    我迟到了因为我误了公共汽车。

    When did you miss your pen?

    你什么时候丢的钢笔?

    I know you miss your mother.

    我知道你想念你的母亲。

    4. I’m fine today, but I still have a cough. 我今天很好,但我仍然咳嗽。

    have a cough 咳嗽  =  have got a cough/catch a cough

    have+a/an+疾病名称  表示“得……病”, 类似表达:

    have a cold 感冒               have the flu  患流感

    have a headache 头痛           have a fever 发烧

    have  a  toothache 牙痛        have a stomachache 肚子痛;胃痛

    5. The doctor asked me to rest at home this week. 医生要求我这周在家休息。

    ask sb. to do sth. 要求某人去做某事

    其否定形式:ask sb. not to do sth. 要求某人不去做某事

    He asked us to wait for him at the gate. 他要求我们在门口等他。

    I asked them not to talk in class. 我让他们不要在课堂上说话。

    6. I came to school because I didn’t want to miss my favourite class. 我到学校是因为我不想错过我最喜欢的课程。

    because 连词,意为“因为”。常用来引导原因状语从句,从句常放在主句之后,若需强调则放在主句之前。because通常用来回答why引导的特殊疑问句。

    He was late for the meeting because there was too much traffic on the road.

    他开会迟到了,因为路上交通拥挤。

    Why do you like maths? 你为什么喜欢数学?

    Because it’s interesting. 因为它有趣。

    7. We learn about famous mountains and rivers in geography. 地理课上,我们学习著名的山脉和河流。

    learn about学习;了解

    I have learnt about your school from your classmate.

    我已经从你的同学那儿了解了你的学校。

    By studying them we can learn about ourselves and our place in the universe.

    通过学习它们,我们可以了解自己以及我们在宇宙中的位置。

    8. I don’t understand it at all. 我一点儿也不明白它。

    not…at all   根本不,一点也不

    He isn’t tired at all. 他一点也不累。

    【拓展】①在口语中单独说Not at all. 可用来回答感谢。

    —Thank you very much. 多谢你。

    —Not at all. 不客气

    ②用于回答道歉,“没关系”。

      — I’m sorry I’m late. 对不起,我迟到了。

      — Oh, not at all, do come in. 噢,没关系,快进来。

       ③用来表示否定(no的加强说法),“一点也不;完全不”。

       — Are you busy? 你忙吗?

    — Not at all. 一点儿也不忙。

    9. It seems hard, but don’t worry. 那似乎很难,但是(你)不用担心。

    seem为连系动词,意为“好像,似乎,看来”, 后常接形容词作表语。

    He seems very angry. 他好像非常生气

    拓展】seem的其他用法:

    seem+名词 似乎……

    That seems a good idea. 那似乎是个好主意。

    seem to do sth. 似乎做某事

    He seems to know everything. 他好像什么事都知道。

    seem +that从句  好像/似乎……

    It seems that she is happy. 她好像很高兴。      

    10. What time is convenient for you? 对你来说,什么时候方便呢?

    convenient 形容词,意为“方便的”。

    be convenient for 对……方便/便利

    Come to see me whenever it is convenient for you.

    你什么时候方便,就什么时候来看我。

    11. It’s a date. 就这么说定了。

    date名词,意为“日期;约会”。

    I can’t come on that date. 那个日子我来不了。

    I have a date with Jenny. 和詹妮有个约会。

    Sum up what weve learnt in this period with the class.
