Step 7  Language points

1. Walk through the park. 走过公园。

through介词，意为“通过，穿过”，常与动词连用，强调从物体内部或一定空间范围内部穿过，其后常跟的名词有forest（森林），hole（洞），window（窗户），tunnel（隧道）等。

A river runs through our city. 一条河流过我们的城市。

Visitors enter through a small gate. 游客从一个小门进入。

2.“This must be it,” Brian says to himself.“这一定是,”布莱恩心里想。

must情态动词，意为“一定，必定”。表示有较大把握的肯定推测。

He must be at home now, because his car is parked in front of his house.

他现在一定在家，因为他的车就停在房子前面。

注意：mustn’t意为“不允许，不得”，表示禁止，不表示推测。

You mustn’t swim in the river.你一定不能在河里游泳。

3. I prefer to live in the countryside rather than downtown.

我宁愿住在乡村，也不愿住在市中心。

prefer to do sth. rather than（do）sth. 宁愿做某事也不愿做某事

I prefer to stay at home rather than go shopping.

我宁愿待在家里，也不愿去购物。
