    1 I have written a pem befre fr my mther n her birthday t tell her hw much I lve and appreciate her. 2 I might be inspired t write pems by seeing smething beautiful r by being in lve,but als by experiencing sme sadness r seeing smething bad. I think many different things culd inspire a pem.
    Use yur prir knwledge If yu cme acrss a tpic yu are familiar with yu can think abut what yu already knw abut it befre yu listen. Using prir knwledge will make it easier fr yu t predict what yu will hear. This will als reduce yur anxiety and help yu better understand the cnversatin while listening.
    Yu are ging t listen t a cnversatin between a teacher and her students abut a petry cntest. Listen t Part 1 and answer the questins.

    The deadline fr the petry cntest is 24 June.
    2. What des Nra mean by saying that she needs time t plish her writing?
    Nra means it’s nt finished,and she needs sme time t change it and make it better.

    Pitt desn’t want t enter a pem cntest because he can’t think f anything t write abut.
