教学目标	1.知识目标：能听、说单词brother；熟练掌握句型“—How old are you?—I’m ... years old.”。 2.能力目标：能在实际生活中谈论年龄并为他人送上生日祝福。 3.情感目标：学会礼貌地为他人送上生日祝福，懂得关心他人。
教学重点	运用句型“—How old are you?—I’m ... years old.”谈论年龄；在真实情景中运用“Happy birthday!”为他人送上生日祝福。
教学难点	掌握birthday中“th”的发音。
教学准备	道具、录音机、录音带、课件。

Step 1 Warm-up&Review				通过询问学生的姓名以及同学之间相互介绍来复习句型“—What’s your name?—I’m…”以及“This is…”，为之后的学习做准备。
 Greetings 师生之间日常问候。 T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls! Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Miss/Mr…! T: What’s your name? S1: I’m… T: What’s your name? S2: I’m… … T: Now, please introduce your classmates in groups. Students use the sentence structure “This is…” to introduce their classmates in groups.  Let's play 复习数字1-10。Show the game on the PPT. Step 2 Presentation&Practice				导入环节创设情境。引导学生观察并讨论图片，借助图片预测教学内容，培养学生的观察能力和逻辑思维能力。教师播放录音，学生听录音跟读。引导学生按照正确的语音、语调朗读对话，并能在小组中进行角色扮演。
 Lead in. 呈现Sam和朋友们的场景，引入新课。 T: Look! Who are they? Ss: Sam, Lu Yao and Lucy. T: Yes! It’s Sam’s birthday! Lu Yao and Lucy come to the party. Guess: What do they say? Ss: Happy birthday! T: Let’s sing the song Happy birthday for Sam. OK? Ss: OK! (Play the song Happy birthday! (出示课件) Let students sing the song together.)  Presentation.（对话学习） 1. Let’s talk (1)教师展示Let's talk部分图片，提问引导学生预测对话内容。 Let students look at the picture of “Let’s talk” carefully. Ask some questions to help them predict the main idea of the dialogue. T: Look at the pictures. Who is Sam? Let’s point it. Ss: ... T: Yes. This is Sam. (2)教师播放Let's talk部分视频，学生根据视频回答问题。 Play the video of the first part. (课件出示:教材P61 Let’s talk板块的视频) Let students watch and answer. T: Who is Sam? Who have different answers? Let’s look and choose. Ss: Sam is Sarah’s brother. T: Yes,you are right. Teach the pronunciation of “brother” several times. Let students practice “brother” from the low voice to the high voice. (3)教授句型结构并进行操练 “—Happy birthday!”“—Thank you.”。T: Look at Picture 1 carefully. Sarah is introducing Sam to John. What does John give Sam? Ss: A birthday card. Let students listen to the second part and explain the key sentences. Teach students the meaning of the sentence structures “—How old are you? —I’m…years old.” and how to use them in real situations. Let students pay attention to the plural form of “year”. Teach students the meaning of the sentence structures “—How old are you? —I’m…years old.” and how to use them in real situations. Lead students to practice in pairs (5)视频跟读对话。 a. The teacher plays the cartoon. Ask students to watch the cartoon and read after it. Let students pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation. b. Let students fill in the blanks by themselves. c. Let students practice the dialogue in groups of three, and then wear the headdresses to act out the dialogue.  Practice.（单词/句型操练） 1. Complete the dialogue 呈现对话内容，看图完成对话。Show the dialogue on the PPT. Let’s play 讲解游戏规则后开始游戏。Show the picture of “Let’s play”. Let students read and make their own dialogues in pairs, and then show in the front of the classroom. Then exchange in pairs to ask and answer. 3. Pair work. Let students work in pairs. Show name cards and number cards on the PPT. Let students play the game according to the rules of “Let’s play”.
Step 3 Consolidation&Extension				提高学生的动手能力和语言实际运用能力，并拓展相关知识。
1.Make a birthday card 制作单词卡片。Show the birthday card on the PPT. T: Look? What’s written on the birthday card? Ss: My name is _____. I’m _____ years old. Best wishes:_____. T: Yes. Let’s fill in the blanks and make your birthday card. 2.Good to know 知识拓展:年龄的秘密。
