Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science.Section A (1a~1c)一、导入Have a free talk about ‘What do you want to be in the future?’二、目标Students learn some new words and phrases, such as programmer,pilot, engineer,pilot,scientist etc. Students can read the listening material and role-play;Students can talk about what do they want to be in the future.三、先学1. ① Students complete activity 1a;② Ask some students to share the answer;③ The teacher checks the answer with the students.2. ① Students listen to the recording finish 1b;② Ask some students to share the answer;③ The teacher checks the answer with the students.四、后教Translate the listening material and lead the students to read it for several times;Explain the important and difficult points to the class.Language points(1) What do you want to be when you grow up?① when /wen/ conj. 当……的时候e.g. I will tell him the result when I see him tomorrow.明天我见到他时,我将告诉他结果。When things got too hot, most journalists left the area.事态发展到过于严峻时,大多数记者便撤离了这个地区。② grow up 长大;成熟;成长e.g. Many teenagers want to be doctors like Zhong Nanshan when they grow up. 许多青少年长大后想成为像钟南山那样的医生。The tree grows up so fast. 那棵树长得如此快。拓展:grow 作及物动词,意为“种植”。e.g. The old man grew many flowers in the garden.老人在花园里种了许多花。(2) I’m going to practice basketball every day.(重点)practice /'præktɪs / v. 练习;训练practice 在此作及物动词,后接名词、代词或动词的-ing 形式作宾语,作动词时相当于practise。e.g. You must practice speaking English. 你必须练习说英语。【拓展】practice 也作不及物动词。还可以作不可数名词,意为“练习;训练”。e.g. I don’t think you practice enough. 我认为你练习不够。It takes a lot of practice to play the violin well.拉好小提琴需要多加练习。(3) cookcook / kʊk / n. 厨师;v. 烹饪;煮(cooked, cooked)① 可数名词,厨师 e.g. My uncle works as a cook in a restaurant.我叔叔在一家餐馆做厨师。② 作动词,意为“烹饪;煮”cook sb. sth.=cook sth. for sb. 给某人做某物e.g. She always cooks us delicious food.=She always cooks delicious food for us. 她总是给我们做可口的食物。五、强化记忆Students practice the conversation and role-play;Students remember the important sentences.六、当堂检测Ask students to role-play the conversation.
