Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?第五课时(教学设计)教学目标1.语言能力:(1) 能够认读、理解并运用:passage, pupil, completely, shocked, in silence, recently, take down, terrorist, date, tower,truth, in history, the rest of 等单词和词组。(2) 能够熟练掌握用when,while引导时间状语从句来表达过去的时间,并且熟练运用所学单词和句型来讨论过去的事情。2.文化意识:通过学习美国历史上马丁路德金遇害和911世贸大厦恐袭两件重大事件,同时谈论了两名亲历者的经历和感受,引导学生关注人类面临的全球性挑战,激发自身作为世界公民的忧患意识和责任意识,同时培养学生崇尚自由民主、热爱和平的意识。3.思维品质:培养阅读理解的逻辑性,进而增强阅读分析能力。由书本对美国历史的重大事件的了解延伸到现在发生在中国的重大事件的介绍,培养发散性思维和创造性思维。学习能力:有意识地运用知识迁移策略来完成小组活动——介绍近两年发生在中国令自己印象最深的重大事件,并且描述当时自己在干什么以及感受如何。教学重点与难点重点:能理解用过去进行时态所表达的语句的含义,能看懂课文中两大历史事件的内容及人们的感受,能通过快速阅读、精读策略获得相关信息。难点能够总结出本文所用到的阅读方法和技巧,学会描述事件以及表达感受。教学准备教具准备: ppt,教材,阅读材料教学过程老师活动学生活动设计意图 Lead-in(3minutes) Show Ss some pictures and ask them to talk about the important events in Chinese history. Then show Ss more pictures and ask them to talk about things that happened recently.Watch the pictures and talk about the important events in Chinese history. Talk about things that happened recently. 观看中国历史上重大事件的图片,引发学生讨论和思考。 再给学生展示一些近期发生的事件图片,引导学生讨论当时自己的活动及心情,以导入本堂课的话题。Pre-reading (2minutes) Predict by the picture and title.
