    Dear fellow classmates,

          Inspired by what we have learned , I cooked Gong Bao Chicken for my family last week and here I’d like to share my recipe///cooking process.

          First, with all the ingredients prepared , I heated the oil and added the chillies, stirring them for 30 seconds. Once the flavors  were brought out, I dropped the seasoned chicken and cooked it through. Finally some peanuts and carrots were added, which gave the cuisine much nutrition. All my family were full of praise for the cuisine.

          It is from this experience that I feel that we are supposed to shoulder responsibility at home, as well as enjoy the pleasure of labor (劳动).

    A week later, Peter stood nervously at the back of the hall where Go Green was meeting. He could feel nothing but his hands shaking and heart pounding. “You’ll be great, Peter,” Isabel encouraged him. Just then, Peter heard his name being announced. It was time to present! Peter took a deep breath and then went on the stage. “Tubman Park needs a new kind of trash can, Peter explained, pointing to a poster of a trash can. Then Peter explained the working principle of the trash can in detail. The judges nodded as they listened, seeming interested in the project.

    After the meeting, Isabel excitedly told Peter the good news. Go Green had agreed to buy the new trash cans for the park! Hearing the inspiring news, they both leaped into the air with joy. Peter hardly had time to enjoy the moment before Isabel started sharing the news with Mrs. Evans and showing their gratitude to her. Learning of the result, Mrs. Evans smiled through watery eyes. “I know you can do it! Tubman Park is sure to become one that is clean and green again!” Never before had Peter and Isabel been so proud of themselves.

    M: That shouldn't be a problem. The meeting doesn't begin until 8 o'clock in the evening. But we have another problem.

    W: What is it?

    M: We won't have time to take a tour of the city. I have been looking forward to it for a long time.

    W: What a pity! However, we can look around it next time.

    W: It sounds great to me, kid.  What kind of job did you find?

    M: Job?

    W: Yes, job.  If you're going to live on your own, you have to pay for the     rent and everything else.

    W: When you move out, your father and I aren't paying your rent, young man.  Get a job.

    M: You're right. If I'm going to live on my own, I have to be independent.

    W: Well, the newspaper is over there.

    W: Would you like to go to the Grand Theatre with me? Here are two     tickets for an opera there.

    M: That's great. Have you ever been to the Grand Theatre before?

    W: No, but I heard it's a famous and beautiful theatre.

    M: Is it true that the opera is sung in a foreign language?

    W: Yes, usually in Italian or French.

    M: Not good for me.  As you know, I can only speak English and a little German besides my mother tongue. I can hardly speak Italian and French.

    W: It doesn't matter.  The actors also tell the story with their moves.

    M: Sounds good, but I'm still afraid I can't understand.

    W: Take it easy.  Music is a universal language.

    M: Yes, the music is supposed to be beautiful.

    W: I am told that you took some kids to go camping last week, did you?

    M: Yes, it lasted three days.

    W: Did the children enjoy the holiday camp or were they homesick?

    M: Well, I must admit some of the younger kids were a bit unhappy    because they'd never been away from their home on their own before. But soon they recovered. At the end, they even didn't want to go home.

    W: What sorts of things did you do with them?

    M: There were some trips, including a visit to Hardwick Hall. That was what we did on the first day. I think they expected it to be boring,     especially when they heard that was a guided tour. But they were    wrong, for the guide was interesting. His stories really made the history of the castle alive.

    W: I can imagine it. By the way, what sorts of sports activities did     you do?

    M: A lot. Sailing, climbing, horseriding and the like. On the last day we had a barbecue, which was their favorite. The kids liked it very  much. They all hoped to come again next year.

    W: That sounds interesting and impressive.

     Welcome to Student Life ! Today we're going to talk about setting up a project of student jobs in your school.  Having students do different jobs around the school is a great way to prepare them for life in the real world. It encourages them to be responsible and also helps them learn new tasks and gain experience.

      However, it's important to get students excited about the project, so the first thing you should do is let students know this project. Get the headmaster to make an announcement explaining the project. OK?

    Then decide on the jobs you want and write out the descriptions of the skills and responsibilities needed for each position.  Some typical jobs are Classroom Assistants, Recycling Officers and Computer Assistants. Next, ask students to apply for the jobs. Students should be encouraged to write letters of application for the job they are interested in. This is a great way to practice letter writing skills. And don't forget you should make sure students are guided by a teacher. A committee then reviews all the applications and gives jobs to the most suitable applicants. Finally, it's important to get opinions from students about the project, to find out which jobs are successful and which don't go well.
