But if, like me, you want to make every second count, you might try to squeeze as much as you can into the time you have. However, when your schedule doesn’t run according to plan, you will certainly be late for next step.
People who lack promptness(准时) have been described as “time bender”. Author Grace Pacie told the BBC that “They’re the people who don’t want to be late, but they have a strange resistance to being early, and they don’t allow enough time. ___28___”
Perceptions of unpunctual people are almost always negative - even if sometimes wrong. Writing for the BBC, Laura Clarke says, “___29___ It could be your type. The punctually-challenged often share personality characteristics, such as optimism, low levels of self-control, anxiety, or a tendency for thrill-seeking. ” It is also possible that people are late to avoid the anxious wait for others to turn up.

What Is Emotional Eating?
Emotional eating is when people use food as a way to deal with feelings instead of satisfying hunger. ____31____ Have you ever finished a whole bag of chips out of boredom or downed cookie after cookie while preparing for a big test? But when done a lot—especially without realizing it—emotional eating can affect weight, health, and overall well-being.
Not many of us make the connection between eating and our feelings.
____32____ One of the biggest myths about emotional eating is that it’s caused by negative feelings. Yes, people often turn to food when they’re stressed out, lonely, sad, anxious, or bored. But emotional eating can be linked to positive feelings too, like the romance of sharing dessert on Valentine’s Day or the celebration of a holiday feast. Sometimes emotional eating is tied to major life events, like a death or a divorce. ____33____
Emotional eating patterns can be learned: A child who is given candy after a big achievement may grow up using candy as a reward for a job well done. ____34____ It’s not easy to “unlearn” patterns of emotional eating. But it is possible. And it starts with an awareness of what’s going on.
We’re all emotional eaters to a degree. But for some people emotional eating can be a real problem, causing serious weight gain or other problems. The trouble with emotional eating is that once the pleasure of eating is gone, the feelings that cause it remain. And you often may feel worse about eating the amount or type of food you like. ____35____
Next time you reach for a snack, wait and think about which type of hunger is driving it.
A.Believe it or not, we’ve all been there.

If you’ve ever been bitten by a mosquito, you know how frustrating their bites can be. ____36____, creating an itch (痒) that once you start scratching only seems to get worse. Why does a mosquito bite itch and what can we do?
Why does a mosquito bite itch?
When a mosquito bites you, it pierces the skin using a special mouthpart to suck up blood and injects saliva (唾液) into your skin. Mosquitoes’ saliva has lots of proteins in it, some of which our body recognizes as foreign, and our immune cells spring into action to try to fight them. ____37____. It’s actually the body’s response to the foreign mosquito protein it is trying to fight. That’s why some people may only have a mild reaction to bites, while others, more sensitive to the foreign protein, react with large areas of swelling that are more painful.
What helps resist the urge to scratch?
“Don’t scratch” is the advice that most experts and health professionals give. As hard and sometimes unrealistic as it can sound, scratching inflames (发炎) the skin, and the inflammation makes the skin itch more. “____38____,” warned Daniel Markowski, technical adviser for the American Mosquito Control Association, adding that in extreme cases, people can scar themselves.
Instead, there are dozens of creams and sprays that promise itch relief as well as home remedy (疗法). Choose what’s right for you can often come down to trial and error. In general, all of the various anti-itch creams are very similar. There is no scientific evidence these remedies work, and they can come with their own precautions or side effects. ____39____.
____40____
Some people can have serious allergic reactions to mosquitoes, although in practice it is rare, Vosshall said. If you experience severe symptoms such as breathing trouble, you should seek medical attention immediately.

You can’t have your brains go hours at a time and retain and store information in working memory. ___42___ Besides, activity that involves arms and legs — running, climbing, crawling — builds new neural connections, which helps kids regulate their emotions. Studies show that after recess children are more attentive in class, perform better and have fewer emotional problems.
How Much Recess Should Kids Get.

___44___
In addition to simply providing enough time for recess, schools should teach skills that will make recess more successful. E项“That’s why it helps to know the difference between physical hunger and emotional hunger.(这就是为什么了解身体饥饿和情感饥饿之间的区别是有好处的。)”符合语境,对上文进行总结,故选E。
