定义： 表示过去某个时刻或某一时间段正在进行或正在发 生的动作。
时间标志词： then，at this/that time， at this time f，at that mment，at this/that time yesterday, at 9:00 yesterday mrning，at nine last night，all the mrning, all night，frm10:00 t12:00 yesterday，the whle afternn等； 或以when, while 引导的时间状语从句。
构成： 基本结构：主语+was/were + V-ing +其他。 否定形式：主语+wasn’t/weren’t +V-ing+其他。 一般疑问句：Was/Were+主语+V-ing+其他？ 肯定回答：Yes, 主语+was/were. 否定回答：N, 主语+wasn’t/weren’t. 特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词+ was/were +主语+V-ing+其他？
过去进行时和一般过去时的区别
1) 过去进行时表示过去某个时刻或某一时间段正在进行或正在发生的动作，而一般过去时则表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态多指一个完整的，已经完成的动作。
2) 当动作延续较长时间时或表示厌烦、赞美等感情色彩时, 常用过去进行时表示。
含义: 表示过去某个时刻 正在进行的动作。结构： was/were + ding
含义: 表示现在正在进行 的动作。结构： is/am/are + ding
when 和 while 用法小结
相同点： when 和 while 都可以作从属连词。 引导时间状语从句。 都有“当……的时候”的意思。
指时间段，也可以指时间点
可以是延续性动词，也可以是非延续性动词
延续性动词：wait, watch, sing, read, sleep, stay, wrk, stand, lie, knw, walk,keep, live...非延续性动词：cme, g, mve, brrw, lend, arrive, pen, die, clse, begin, finish,buy...
有时when可以代替while，而while则不能代替when。
when引导的时间状语从句中，从句的动作和主句的动作可以同时发生，也可以一前一后先后发生；while则强调主句和从句的动作同时发生。
when后面通常接一般时态的从句，而while后接进行时态的句子。
