Here's our pick of the most beautiful European cities with hardly any tourists:
Aarhus,Denmark
Denmark's second largest city is considered to be less attractive than its capital Copenhagen. But Aarhus makes a perfect choice for a Danish long weekend thanks to its pretty beaches, towering Domkirke and the great ARoS Aarhus Art Museum.
ARoS's Wine and Food Hall is one of the best places in the city to try delicious Nordic food.
Norwich,England
The saying goes that Norwich has a pub for every day of the year and a church for every Sunday. While that's perhaps far from the truth, this most typical of English cities is certainly home to some of the most attractive medieval architecture in England.
Norwich Cathedral dates back to 1096 and the streets of Colegate and Elm Hill are home to picturesque,centuries-old homes.
Orange,France
While Avignon draws in thousands of tourists thanks to its summer festival and amazing Popes' Palace, nearby Orange is usually unnoticed. Easier to travel around, with far fewer visitors, the city's key attraction is the Roman Theater, which was built in the first century AD.
Antwerp,Belgium
The UNESCO-protected Cathedral of Our Lady occupies the Antwerp skyline, but there's so much more to this Belgian city than its most famous building.
There's also the Red Star Line Museum, located on Antwerp' old docks, which shows the city's past as a center for migration(移民)to the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
21.Which city will you visit if you want to enjoy a delicious meal?
A.Orange, France.
C.Aarhus, Denmark.
B.Norwich, England.
D.Antwerp, Belgium.

A.See amazing Popes' Palace.
C.Attend a summer festival.
B.Visit Roman Theater.
D.Be surrounded with visitors.

B.They are famous for museums.
C.Old pubs can be seen everywhere.
D.People there go to church every Sunday.

Everybody knows vegetables are necessary for us,but the difficulty in growing vegetables is more than you think. Many years ago I moved from the city to the country. One of the first things I did was to make a large vegetable garden. It was hard work to change the grassy area to a fine garden. Imagine how much work it must have been for the early pioneer families to break the native wilderness by hand. I planted a full garden that first year-everything from root vegetables like carrots and beets to green beans, corn, tomatoes, zucchini, acorn squash, and melons. A root vegetable means that we eat the root of the plant that grows in the soil instead of the part that grows above the ground.
My best friends Fritz and Heidi, both German shepherd dogs, loved to play out in the country. They enjoyed discovering all the new places where rabbits and deer appeared. A garden was something new to the dogs. At gardening time Heidi preferred to go exploring but Fritz would stay close to me and help.
Once in a while I would find a cucumber at the side of the garden with dog teeth marks in it. Who do you think tasted the cucumbers? Since Heidi didn't stay near the garden, it must have been Fritz!
One day Fritz went into the garden. He sniffed among the leaves of the melon vines(藤) growing close to the ground. He had discovered ripe(成熟的)melons by their smell, fantastic! Knowing when melons are just right to pick is very hard for humans. But Fritz knew the exact right time to pick each melon in the garden. From then on,Fritz was my best garden helper even if he did sometimes eat the cucumbers.
24.Why did pioneer families have a hard time in gardening?
A.Because they didn't know how to plant a garden.
B.Because they had to break native wilderness by hand.
C.Because here wasn't enough rain at that time.
D.Because their dogs didn't know how to help.
25.Which of the following is true?
A.Carrots and tomatoes are root vegetables.
B.Heidi was a dog who liked to stay at home at gardening time.
C. Heidi liked to explore new places while Fritz liked to stay at home.
D.Fritz was good at identifying whether melons were ripe.
26.We know from the last paragraph that Fritz was
A.naughty
B.clever
C.friendly
D.ordinary
27.Which is the best title for the passage?
A.The Best Garden Helper
C.Dogs Are Our Best Neighbors
B.How to Grow Vegetables
D.How to Train a Good Gardener

Not only does the use of plastic water bottles hurt your wallet, but it also causes pollution, wastes energy, and surprisingly wastes water. Only 23% of the plastic in America ends up in recycling bins, meaning over $ 1 billion worth of plastic is treated as rubbish a year. Recently, Skipping Rocks Lab has invented a kind of water bottle called Ooho.
It's a kind of convenient, clear water bottle that can either be drunk or eaten. To drink it, you can either get rid of the membrane(膜)or tear a hole in the membrane with your teeth to pour the water into your mouth. To eat it,you simply put the whole bottle in your mouth. It's completely tasteless so you needn't worry about any taste.
It aims for large outdoor events where tons of plastic bottles are used and frequently left behind as litter.Too much plastic is sure to do harm to the environment, which could account for the purpose of such a new invention.
The team has been working for the past two years to develop the technology and materials that are needed to produce Ooho. The price for an only bubble(泡状物)or a unit of bubbles hasn't been decided yet,but it costs about two cents to create a unit, which is cheaper than plastic bottles. The team has also been selling Ooho water bottles in London for the past six months.
Ooho is catching many people's attention and has raised over $1 million in only three days. It's mostly being sold at events at the moment to interest the buyers while the production machine is getting up and running. It's quickly making a rise, so keep an eye out for these bottles of the future.

D.Worried.
31.Who might be target readers?

B.Experts.
C.Environmentalists.

From self-driving cars to carebots(护理机器人)for elderly people, rapid development in technology has long represented a possible threat to many jobs normally performed by people.
But experts now believe that almost 50 percent of occupations existing today will be completely
unnecessary by 2025 as artificial intelligence continues to change businesses.
“The next fifteen years will see a revolution in how we work, and a revolution will necessarily take place in how we plan and think about workplaces,” said Peter Andrew, Director of Workplace Strategy for CBRE Asia Pacific.
A growing number of jobs in the future will require creative intelligence, social skills and the ability to use artificial intelligence.
The report is based on interviews with 200 experts, business leaders and young people from Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. It shows that in the US technology already ravages more job opportunities than it creates.
But the report states:“Losing occupations does not change what people do.” Growth in new jobs could occur as much, according to the research.
“The growth of 20 to 40 person companies that have the speed and technological know-how will directly challenge big companies," it states.
A 2014 report by Pew Research found 52 percent of experts in artificial intelligence and robotics were optimistic about the future and believed there would still be enough jobs in the next few years. The optimists pictured “a future in which robots do not take the place of more jobs than they create,”according to Aaron Smith, the report's co-author.
“Technology will continue to affect jobs, but more jobs seem likely to be created. Although here have always been unemployed people, when we reached a few billion people there were billions of jobs. There is no shortage of things that need to be done and that will not change,”Microsoft's Jonathan Grudin told researchers.
32.Why does the author mention self-driving cars and carebots in the first paragraph?
A.To support his argument.
C.To introduce the topic.
B.To provide examples.
D.To make comparisons.
33.What does the underlined word “ravages” mean in paragraph 4?
A.Loses
B.provides
C.develops
D.destroys
34.What can be inferred from the report?
A.Big companies will face fewer challenges.
B.Small companies will surely defeat big companies.
C.Work efficiency and technological operation will be of vital importance for companies.
D.In the future, everyone will be equipped with great social skills and the ability to use AI.
35.In which column will the passage be found most probably?
A.Science
B.Education
C.Economy
D.Fashion

Responsibility is an admirable character that makes life better for everyone around you. 36 It's also about making proper choices and doing what is right. Showing responsibility isn't always easy, but practicing and making an effort will help you improve over time.
Think of the consequences before speaking or acting. Bad decisions often lead to a lot of new problems. Many times, you can avoid these problems by thinking about what you're about to do before you go through with it. Irresponsible people often make decisions without realizing how they are affecting others. 37
38 Take a time out to look back on what you have said or done, especially after a difficult decision. By reflecting, you give yourself a chance to make better decisions.Consider what goes right, what goes wrong, and what you can do differently next time. Use what you learn to become wiser and more responsible.
Tell the truth to be honest with others. If you're honest, people will believe you are a responsible person.Try to be as honest as possible. Lying leads to deeper holes in the long run, so admit when you do something wrong. 39 But it's something you can handle when you're a responsible person.
Apologize for any mistake you make. No one is perfect, and no matter how responsible you try to be,you might mess up sometimes. 40 If you hurt someone, tell them you are sorry and will do better next time.
A.This can be very tough to do at times.
B. Instead of hiding your mistakes, admit them.
C.Find solutions for problems instead of blaming others.
D.It isn't only about doing your homework or feeding the dog.
E.Pause and reflect on your actions to see what you can do better.
F.Avoid big lies hurting one's feelings if you want people to trust you.
G.Most decisions affect other people, so be responsible for your choices.

Mary and her little son Andy lived alone and led a hard life. They didn't have much, but there was always food on the table-for Andy, at least.
To support the family, Mary did three jobs. It was tiring, but Mary didn't give up. Each day when she finally got home, she’d bring Andy home from a kind neighbor, who attended to her boy for hours daily.
Years later when Andy was 15,Mary was still working hard. One morning she crazily looked for the house keys, worried about getting late for work. She had a long day ahead, but she didn't even make it to her house's front door. She tried to move the sofa to see if the keys had fallen behind it. At the time, Andy was preparing to go to school.
Suddenly, Mary fell due to long-term lack of sleep. And when she fell, her head hit the sofa's edge, which caused her to faint immediately. So worried, Andy did everything he could to help his mom. Finally, he took her to hospital.
Hours later, Mary woke up, noticing Andy's hand on her shoulder. The doctor brought her document for her to read. She soon knew why she was in hospital. And she knew the fall had reduced her sense of hearing to 20%.Mary couldn't help crying. “What am I going to do now?” she thought as she looked at Andy. With tears in eyes, Andy said, “I love you, Mom!” And it saddened them both again because Mary could barely hear Andy's words.
The doctor recommended wearing a hearing aid. It was a very expensive device. “Who has that kind of money?” Mary thought, feeling upset and hopeless.
But Andy wasn't. “Mom has taken good care of me for years. It’s high time that I did something to try to repay her," Andy thought. He was determined to take a part-time job to earn the money for the hearing aid. Since his academic performance was very good, he decided to work as a tutor for grade kids.
注意:1.续写词数应为150左右;
2.请按如下格式作答。
