You probably choose calorie (卡路里) burning with training. You can get great calorie burning effects with the following exercises.

High Intensity (强度) Interval Training (HIIT)
If you want intensity, HIIT is just for you. This physical exercise means working hard for a curtain period of time and then resting. Because your heart rate will stay at a high level, you'll burn more calories in less time. On average, a person will burn 400 to 600 calories in 30 minutes.
Jumping rope
This childhood activity can actually do wonders for your health. Jumping rope is great for making the lower and upper body stronger while training your balance and coordination, because your mind has to work while you jump. Jumping rope can burn 600 to 1,000 calories in an hour.
Swimming

Swimming also helps to shape your body, control blood pressure, and increase strength—all great reasons for you to jump into the water.

I often think of the things that I wish I had told my mother. During the last few days of her life, I stayed with her. I wanted to tel her about those things and that I was proud to be her daughter, but I didn't. She was so sick at that time that she couldn't hear me at all. That was too late.
I'd had a lifetime to tell her all those things, so why did I wait?
My dad was a man of few words too, but he meant what he said. He always ended our calls with "Love you, Girl."
Those became the words I would cling to (紧握不放) when I learned he had died. I had all sorts of questions that I never asked him, but I never doubted his love.
Now, I have children and grandchildren of my own. ______▲______ They might get sick of it, but we'll never stop.
From late December to mid-February, we celebrate 11 birthdays in our big family.
It gets a little emotional (感人的). Last week, for example, we phoned my youngest son to wish him a happy birthday. I listened as my husband told our son how proud he was of him.
He ended the call, as always, with "I love you, buddy."
And I yelled, "Me, too!" I hoped he heard me.
When we tell someone what they mean to us, we don't need to be poetic or even smart. We just need to mean it, and to make sure they hear it. And we need to do it now, while we can. The best time to say "I love you" is always right now.
19. How may the writer feel about the unsaid things to her mother?
A. Moved. B.Sorry. C. Thankful. D.Proud.
20. What do we know about the writer's father?
A.He was an excellent speaker.
B. He took good care of his family.
C. His death caused many problems.
D. He had his own way to express love.
21. Which of the following sentences can be put in the blank“____▲_____"?
A.My husband and I are always telling them how much they mean to us.
B. I always say something that I later wish that I could take back.
C. I would never say something like "you mean the world to me" to them
D. They mean everything to us, but I have never told them about it.
22. What's the best title for this passage?
A. A life regret I have for my mother
B. Never too late to show your love
C.Express your love when possible
D. The secret of keeping a happy family
C
Do you ever feel like your thoughts are going around in circles? One minute, you're thinking about your homework. The next minute, you're thinking about your plans for the weekend.
Is it possible for us to slow our thoughts down or even stop them completely? It depends on your definition (定义) of "thinking", according to Michael Halassa, a researcher at MIT, US. We basically go through each day in one of two states we either realize that we're thinking or we don't. Our brains won't stop thinking completely until we die.
"The brain never actually stops 'thinking' in a broader sense. Most thoughts are actually in the background without us noticing them and there's not really a way to turn these things of," Halassa said. Human brains can unconsciously process (处理) about 11 million pieces of information per second, according to Forbes.
You can compare this to how a computer works. Even when you aren't using your computer while it's turned on, it is still running operations "in the background". Your computer, much like your brain, is constantly "thinking", even if you're not actively using it.
Some researchers have referred to this as "thought-chatter". It describes all kinds of thoughts that appear in and out of our mind at different times during the day, according to Steve Taylor, a psychology lecturer.
Some thought-chatter can be enjoyable, such as daydreaming. Albert Einstein came up with his famous theory of relativity while daydreaming at work. "But too much thought-chatter can make us feel too anxious or worried," Taylor said. "Meditation (冥想) can help us clean up some of this thought-chatter."
23. The writer introduces the topic to readers by _____________.
A. explaining the meaning of the topic
B. reminding readers of a situation
C. introducing some interesting researches
D. giving the answer to a question
24. Michael Halassa thinks _____________.
A. humans can control their brain completely
B. humans can always realize their brain is working
C. human brains always process information consciously
D. humans sometimes don't realize their brain is working
25. In Paragraph 4, the writer tries to explain to us that _____________.
A. human brains are thinking all the time
B. human brains work faster than computers
C. a computer can think like a human brain
D. a computer can deal with plenty of information
26. Which of the following is TRUE about "thought-chatter"?
A. It can be cut down through meditation.
B. It is the background noises we hear.
C. It always helps us come up with new ideas.
D. It is considered as enjoyable as daydreaming.

Litterati is the name of a company that's trying to make the world a cleaner place- and doing a fine job of it. It has created an app that people can use to upload information about the litter they collect outside, such as its appearance, material and location. Shared online, this information helps to build a global data (数据) base of "litter maps", which can influence government management and packaging design.
Jeff Kirschner is the inventor of Litterati app. He came up with the idea while walking in a northern California forest with his then-four-year-old daughter, who noticed a plastic kitty litter box in a river. Young as she was, she expressed her worries about the box being somewhere that it wasn't supposed to be. This knowledge stays with Kirschner as adults -The litter problem is so huge: what's a single person supposed to do?
That's where Kirschner thinks an app can help. "Society's failure to solve the litter problem has not been from lacking (缺乏) government support. There have been public service announcements, neighborhood litter walks and coastal cleanups. And these activities successfully raise public knowledge of pollution," said Kirschner. But he believes one thing is missing from the discussion - online data - and if these are added in, people can start solving the problem in a better way.
Uploading pictures to an app shows users that they're not the only ones picking up litter from public places. And the data has been gathered rapidly, telling a story that helps people understand who picked up what, where and when. "In San Francisco, the Litterati app was able to discover and map more than 5,000 pieces of rubbish in order to find out how much was produced by cigarettes exactly. Using this information, the city successfully doubled an existing cigarette sales tax (香烟销售税). In the Netherlands, Litterati's data helped push brand Anta Flu to repackage its hard candies in paper, rather than non-recyclable plastic,"said Kirschner.
Litterati shows a positive we-can-do-it attitude. "Its goal isn't to shame. It's to provide a real way to solve the litter problem and encourage people to be part of the project," explained Kirschner.
27. The underlined word "upload" in Paragraph I probably means ____________in Chinese.
A.搜寻 B.上传 C.储存 D.处理
28. What does Kirschner think has caused failure to solve the liter problem?
A. Lack of online data about litter.
B. The public's refusal of community action.
C. Absence of government support.
D. People's poor environmental knowledge.
29. What can people do with Litterati app?
A. They can know where to drop litter.
B. They can invite more people to join them.
C. They can find an area littered with rubbish.
D. They can help people sort litter for recycling.
30. Why did Kirschner give the examples in Paragraph 4?
A. To encourage a wider use of the app.
B. To introduce the function of the app.
C. To voice his views on managing the app
D. To show the practical advantage of the app.
三.任务型阅读(本题有5小题,每小题1分;共计5分)

A.Don't insert chopsticks into the rice. One of the most important taboos is that chopsticks should not be put into a bowl of rice upright because it looks like the ritual of incense burning. Generally, when a child acts like that, he or she will be blamed.
B. Be quiet. Tapping chopsticks on the edge (边缘) of bowls is impolite. Chinese people think the action is similar to beggars' actions that aim to attract others' attention.
C.Make sure what you want to eat. In China, food is often served in one dish for many people, and everyone picks up what they like with their chopsticks. But it does not mean that you can dig and search through food for something in particular. It is rude to pick up food that you do not like and put it back.
D. Don't point at someone with chopsticks. Whether you are full or still eating, you should not point at someone with chopsticks. Some people would like to invite others to dine or talk with others and point chopsticks toward others, which is considered as bad manners.
E. Pass food to the elderly first before you eat. It shows your respect to them. However, you'd better use serving chopsticks which are also called public chopsticks.
F. Don't cross chopsticks. If you are full or you just take a break from eating, you can place chopsticks neatly on the side of your bowl. Don't put your chopsticks at the top of the bowl, either. It will get your chopsticks off the ground easily.
